How to Dragoon per Second: A DPS Paradigm

Finally updated some of the material (accuracy caps, formulas, videos), fam. Lazy Thendiel is lazy.

Awesome work with caps and BiS theorizing all around. For those of you on A8S, your continued science-ing would be greatly appreciated. I'd really love hear some testing of accuracy values in the 700-704 range, so that we can be 100% sure before confirming a BiS set for the tier.

Question: If we have a set with about 550 SS, don't the drawbacks go beyond the loss of 2-Geirskoguls-per-BFB? Won't we also run the risk of tiny pockets of Heavy Thrust downtime (which could cost us auto-attack damage) and/or lost Phlebotomize ticks? The windows of downtime are extremely small, but they're there.

Other question--to Jack, regarding the opener: Do your damage models regarding the opener account for auto-attacks, out of curiosity?

My current model accounts for this downtime with the probabilistic penalty to autos. Same deal with DoT ticks being clipped or falling off. I use no correction for Fey Wind one way or another, or for Geirskogul for that matter.

Basically, the DPS potentially lost from not clipping HT/Phlebotomize is outweighed by the gains in CT uptime and Crit/Det. Fey Wind should bring Geirskogul in line with expectations (particularly because it's front-loaded) and will re-clip your stuff half the time anyway.
