    Oh and I will just note (even though it's a silly thing to note) that upgrades are multiplicative, not additive. You should always be giving out weapon upgrades to the dps players in order of their performance. The BLM pumping out 1700 on Hammelfaust is gonna realistically put a tomestone to better use than the DRG beside them doing 1200-1300. In my experience, every group has that one all-star DPS that all strategies seem to center around. You make that dps do the thing to impact their dps the least. You build the comp around helping that dps perform his/her best.

    Stuff like this is pretty common in the not-top-percentage statics. It's not *always* a melee who has that distinction. There's a group on my server that had been pretty heavily leaning on their Bard for all of Gordias. Even in their A5S kill, they were top:

    So, yeah, while it should generally be melee first, it should also depend on each individual player's actual performance when you're looking at an order (past the point when the weapons can be bought that week, of course).
