Is there new statweights?
also is there any diminishing returns for the huge amounts of crit we have now?

It depends on how you're going to build.
My chest is det v x2, acc iv x 3
Hands will be acc iv x2, crit iv x3
Feet will be crit iv x1, acc iv x4
I need a lot of accuracy with the way I want to build my gear, so I'm horribly over-stacking it on those crafted pieces. I use V's on my chest, since that thing isn't getting replaced until the Midan chest. Everything else will be replaced by 230 or 240 pieces.
Every dragoon should be buying the Slipstream pants next week. I'm planning on ring the following week, head the week after.
There's not really 1 right way to meld things. You need to meld according to what gear you're going to have and what stats you're going to need to use said gear in content. Grade V materia (imo) should only be used on i240 gear - there's no reason to waste it on anything else. Unless you really enjoy Diadem and have a surplus of g5, which I find unlikely, you're wasting resources on stuff that'll be gone in a week or two.
Like, this is the set I'm building toward before getting any A8S drops: http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/SRBR
I have all of those melds the same as the final set I'm aiming for - http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/SRBE - on any piece that overlaps between the two sets. If ACC is a bit low, I can easily adjust melds in this set to bump it up, and the no-A8S set has 705 base, so using acc food should be enough to make up any differential I encounter.

hmm okay, already melding some accuracy IV then. atm on 645 lol
Let me get one thing straight, what is the reasoning behind what to meld when it comes to choose between determination and critical hit rate? Personal preference, or is there something else I should probably know? Because were it for me, I'd just stack determination (constant "sure" damage vs random damage spike) - but considering I'm seeing crit builds everywhere I feel like I'm missing something. Sorry if it's a noob question.
If I recall correctly with 3.0 they changed how Determination affects damage, so the benefit of the constant damage becomes slightly less than the benefit of the random critical hits that will occur. Basically the increase in steady damage is outweighed by the random spiked critical damage due to how they reworked Determination at 3.0 launch.Let me get one thing straight, what is the reasoning behind what to meld when it comes to choose between determination and critical hit rate? As a side note... What do people think of this as an end game wishlist build? http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/SSFO
For what I know you cant overmeld(pentameld) blue gear, just the crafted 220 gear, or im wrong? As a side note... What do people think of this as an end game wishlist build? http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/SSFO
What do you guys think about getting crafted accessories? The power ratio of crafted:tome item is a lot higher for accessories than left side gear because of less STR per ilevel increase and more melding opportunities. But would you guys be afraid of replacing the crafted items too early or something if A5S drops that accessory?
