Tank Glamour!

Sup guys! I would like to hear your opinions on which armor pieces that you think are worth getting and glamouring. I only have a DRK for now with his eso artifact armor and lvl56 armor pieces glamoured. Besides pvp gear what other armor pieces look cool and worth glamouring.

All depends on your personal tastes and your class/Job - personally myself as GLA/PLD I like the 'knight in shining armour' look with a little 'lady knight' thrown in for good measure, and hence my glamour is a mix of different sets which I matched til I found a look I liked.

Dye also plays a big part (assuming the gear you've glamoured is dyeable of course - hence my preference for dyeable gear) - for my PLD glamour again I went with the rare silver metallic dye, as it really suits PLD> But the best thing to do is to experiment! Use the gear preview function to try new pieces on without actually owning them (don't forget you can actually do this with other player's gears too ).

In case you're wondering though (although you could easily just check my Lodestone page ), my current glamour is:

Weapon: Curtana
Off hand: Holy Shield
Head: Adamantite Helm of Fending
Body: Wootz Cuirass
Hands: Mythril Gauntlets
Legs: Spring Skirt
Feet: Mythril Sabatons

This is just my own personal look, so find what works best for you and run with it!

Incidentally, if you're still stuck for ideas, it's worth having a look at this thread and taking note of what people have used for their glamour.

The best glamour in my opinion is the High Allagan tank set and the High Allagan Guillotine (drk weapon) from T9. They're a bit tedious to get since everyone has to know T9 in order to get a shot at the tank chest and weapon, gloves, boots, helm, legs all come from T6-8. Another option is the Allagan set which is neat looking as well from T1-5, or Esoteric gear which screams dark knight. Last option i'd consider is the ilvl 110 PvP gear which is the Lynxliege set, looks pretty decent.

I really like the piecemeal armor berserker look. Sadly there isn't a whole lot in way of options for that look in the game currently. bazillions of stylish coat-esque full plate, but hardly anything beyond variations on that theme, and the "just a giant suit of heavy armor" theme. -_-

I used coliseum galerus with various heavy arms/legs for the longest time, currently using almost full ravagers with the spikey Alex gauntlets glamoured over the terrible fur sleeve. Hopefully void ark has something that isn't just another set of gothey coat-plate.

The High Allagan from SCoB and the Demon set from WoD both look pretty nice on male Au Ra.

So does the level 58 white set, Adamantite Armor of Fending and etc. Not the Lorica. God, no.
