With the point of the game moving gear centric and away from Job Levels. I got and idea while reading and posting in the Pro Plvl thread. Here's and interesting twist on Dungeon raids.

Why not make raids user scalable. for instance, Toto-rak is a lvl 30 dungeon. why
not add the option to scale it to rank 35-40-45-50, Capped or uncapped on entry. Make the Photo-cells spawn in random locations Uncapped and Fixed in capped. This will get a lot more mileage out of the content. Maybe Change the NM's and Mob's from Level to Level. Maybe Increse the amount of Mob's in Uncapped.

Rewards:

Since everything is moving toward the gear being the ultimate grind in the game.
Make the Capped version for dungeon gear. And the Uncapped version drop Special materia and a special currency. The new materia can only get melded by the Gobbie Npc that starts the materia quest and only takes currency from the quest. Could be a good use for Beastmen currency. Make the amount high enough and progressive larger for each additional materia melded. This Gives the people that like relics in XI something to work for. make the first piece do able to anybody with moderate effort.
something like 50k first meld then 100k.300k.600.1000k. all total that's 2 million beast coin. first 4 slot's on an item 1 million and last slot 1 million. If you let it go for any piece that can be melded nobody would ever have every piece of gear full. At the current beast coin availability it should take somebody 4 years to fully fill an Item.
lower that to 1-2 years if the additions to raid we may have something.
