Even at level 50 Rank in PvP you cannot use the gear you don't have levels for.No. I can get the tokens at level 60. I can use it to buy scholar gear, but I can't use it if my scholar is not level 60. And again, you haven't done any "hard work" to earn the ability to equip those PvP pieces, because you don't have the rank for it. The currency isn't even the hard work part.
The only person that's making apple and orange comparison is you with this bit.
Considering that I'm Rank 40 after 300 or so meaningful matches (that is, on one GC), and I don't PvP every day for every hour of the day (because I actually hate how PvP is setup, I'm only gunning for the ADS mount), I'm probably putting less effort than most would-be serious PvPers.
OP wants to be able to wear PvP gear as soon as he gets enough currency to buy it, even though it has rank attached to it. Because apparently, getting enough currency should be more than enough justification to wear something that provides (a rather significant boost) in wolves den.
Your comparing apples to oranges.

>I can buy my class' appropriate gear and use it immediately, granted I have that class leveled to 60. Your PvP rank is your PvP level, gained from earning PvP EXP. You want to wear rank 50 stuff without being rank 50.
YES, but you can buy your "class's appropriate gear" and use it IMMEDIATELY.
Even at level 50 Rank in PvP you cannot use the gear you don't have levels for.
Your comparing apples to oranges. Find a more appropriate comparison, one has nothing to do with the other.
I want one small part of the game to be like the rest of the game. I don't see why that is "BAD". The rest of the game is designed good, this is designed poorly.
>Because that small part of the game is supposed to be separated from the rest of the game. PvE and PvP.
Truth to be told, they're both separate instances in the game and have their own qualifications and statistics. We shouldn't be comparing the two, but you keep saying that you earned the right to wear it with your "hard work" when you don't have the PvP rank to show for it.

It seems like they are doing exactly opposite of what your saying.>I can buy my class' appropriate gear and use it immediately, granted I have that class leveled to 60. Your PvP rank is your PvP level, gained from earning PvP EXP. You want to wear rank 50 stuff without being rank 50.

Rank is PvP level. You need rank to wear PvP armor. What is there to not understand. You can use it in PvE, but it doesn't mean they're better. It's the same principle as PvE gear (tomestone vs dungeon drops) where they have different stat budgeting. Some PvP pieces are straight up worse than the PvE counterpart at the same ilvl. You can be Rank 50 and not be able to wear any gear because your not level 60. Logic Failed. Sorry, rank is not levels.
Also, if that is indeed true. Then why are they working on making them work together more? You can use PVP gear in PvE, infact the stats are better for PVE then the ilvl 180 gear.
Yet they don't reward Wolf Marks for Dungeons, so no they aren't working for them to be the same. No one who wants good matches in PvP even like the eso rewards because it gets in the way of people actually giving a damn for the mode.

Move along nothing to see here. Just someone who wants free glamors. They have complained on the pvp board and no one takes it serious. They don't post from main character. Because I can't believe anyone with Arcanist 60 thaum 26 and conj 20 could be expected to be taken seriously. Oh forgot pugilist 1. They have put little effort into ranking up.
They are right about one thing though, they could make it so the vendor refuses to sell. So marks fall to the floor so you wont be taunted by the oh my glamours. The system actually protects your marks and lets you buy. Unlike lets name two, Grand Company and Advanced marks.
About all people should complain about is the horrible gating of the que. Someone has done the math and it is not that much effort to get to rank. It is though a pain to sit in 30 min ques meaning a two hour play time could net you three games or less. Which in turn feels unfair given that if you put 2 hours into anything you should be able to net some better reward then just under 700 xp per two hours. The system is flawed but not in the way they project.
because it is practically useless now and has no further meaning to pvp since the new pve equipment came out? it is nothing more than a means to glamour.
in wich way does it give an edge over others when the pvp ilvl of seal rock is currently capped at 150.morale doesn't change that ilvl cap, aswell as materia.PvP Gear just gives players an edge over others. Which is probably why they want to keep their unfair advantage because they don't want to PvP fairly.
you have no idea what you're talking about, am i right?
I guess they changed it. So its completely useless now.because it is practically useless now and has no further meaning to pvp since the new pve equipment came out? it is nothing more than a means to glamour.

Why do people keep spouting this nonsense?
PvP gear does not give you a significant edge. In Frontlines is does absolutely nothing. In Wolves' Den it'll either let you pretend you have i210, or (and this is much more likely) it'll do absolutely nothing. I'm sure they'll add an uncapped option, like they have for Wolves' Den, but I'm also sure they'll have a capped option (like the i80 cap one) and that will be the competitive scene in Wolves' Den.
Morale is a do-nothing stat. PvP gear does nothing, it is solely an ill-conceived trophy piece.
If you don't want to put in the effort to equip pvp gear, then stop dancing around it and say so rather than dancing around making arguments that only holds water in the form of semantics.
You're really falling onto those sort of arguments now? Although we're arguing circles at this point because honestly, I can say the same for you that you just want to be lazy and not work toward PvP rewards.
You honestly want to bring other games into this, WoW doesn't let you equip arena gear unless, again, you had the proper arena rating. Neither does Elsword even though their ranking requirements is an absolute joke. Possibly more examples from other MMO if I actually played beyond those two.
And for the record, PvP gear doesn't give you an edge in PvP. Everything level syncs at i150 and morale/materia slots do jack shite in frontlines.
That's a really wide-ass estimate. I have 300 effective matches and I'm already rank 41.
