People would stop playing as soon as they got enough marks to buy whatever set they wanted.

They will eventually remove the rank requirements from whatever set you are looking to use anyway.

I honestly believe that actually having to work for rewards should be implemented more into the PvE scene. You see someone in a full PvP set and it's a noticeable achievement. There isn't enough of that in PvE. This lazy instant gratification stuff needs to stop it doesn't promote longevity in any game it just caters to spoiled crybabies. You can get rank 50 in just over a month if you try. I know some people that have gotten it in in just a couple of weeks with really intense grinding. Try working for your rewards; you end up valuing them more I promise.

This is the issue. You don't want to do PVP because you enjoy it, you want to do PVP for the rewards. The rewards are there for people who grind PVP thus shortening queues. If it were simple to rank up fast and get your rewards, if that's what you're truly after, would you continue to queue? No, you would not. And what would happen if 1/4th of people who PVP do this. You guessed it! Queues will be even longer! Yay!

Yes, there are some serious flaws with how PVP is designed, but I do not think the ranking system is one of them. There are many parts of this game that are grindy, some much more than PVP. Have you finished a relic? I did Satasha HM 30+ times for 1 zodiac drop there. Yeah, I complained, but I accepted that grinding was part of the journey and sucked it up. It's the same with PVP. And ranking up is definitely not the most grindy thing I've done.

The rewards require commitment to the system, or it will only work for a short time and "new people", as you say, will be screwed in an entirely different way if it were set up how you'd like.

That said, you do not need PVP gear to do PVP. Even PVP BiS gives you a marginal ugrade over full i170 law gear for example. Success is not dependent on your PVP rank in the slightest.

Also this idea that people who are rank 50 win traded their way there is BS. I am rank 43, and I know a lot of people at 50. None of them have ever win traded. Because they enjoy the content and accept that the rewards are secondary to the experience. If you don't agree with that, you have no right to complain. This game doesn't owe you PVP gear that you don't need.

In other words: "I should be able to equip the level 60 summoner gear because I have the eso to buy it, even though I've never leveled Arcanist."

Umm...PVP gear doesn't really make that much of a difference if I recall...it looks good and is an incentive to keep content popular...just grind :P
I'm rank 33 now..I hardly do matches but I find them fun...dont ask for handouts :P

Now imagine every new patch there is a new set of PvE gear as a new player and you can't even wear it until you do 600 dungeons. Nobody would play the game.

Please raise the token requirement for PvP gear and remove the Rank Requirement. Rank already makes you better in PvP by giving you stats and better abilities.
Pvp gear is entirely useless, so lets fix that before you whine about it being to difficult to get rank ups. Pvp gear should be overpowered in all forms of pvp not simply wolves den. Screw the casuals if you are going to waste resources on "pvp" gear then make it worth something, or don't make the gear at all.

Yeah, screw the idea of actually having to be good to be helpful in PvP! PvP gear should allow us to wipe players who use PvE out of existence! /s

Seriously? Even WoW is doing away the idea of having PvP gear be overpowered (making it only a transmogrification/glamour thing), frankly if you need PvP to be overpowered you are the PvP "casual". Although I don't believe that word suits this case, but whatever. Every player should be on equal footing, period.

Mmk then, lets throw out all variations of gear then (raid, crafter, gatherer, lvling gear) and all wear the lvl 1 glamour pieces for every piece of content. That seems like equal footing.

I'm referring to PvP, y'know, where people actually compete with each other directly. PvP has very little players as is, do you really want to make the "casuals" who play every so and so to quit because they get destroyed the moment they step into a Frontlines match? That already happens anyway, how? Because the skill difference between a newbie and an experienced player is incredibly large. If it weren't up to skill, then the players would get frustrated and never participate again. Remember how bad Frontlines queues were during 2.55? I remember never getting less than 30 minutes, and it frequently reaching 60-100+ minutes. That sure was fun.

Frontlines is a casual mode, if you want PvP gear to be useful you'll have to wait until they introduce Wolves' den 2 in 3.1.

Alittle bit off the topic, just alittle bit, but ive noticed a small habit from your posts and that is... everyone one of them is about "Make it easier for me to get this, let me buy this with real money, i want this and that and no i dont wanna get it the regular way"?
If you want it, then make a goal and work for it. You want handouts? Go find some charity group or play some random F2P game.

Uhm.. Pretty sure you can't get eso/law before 60. So infact if you get the gear you *CAN* use it.

PvP is different. You can get the gear by PvPing but CANNOT use it.
