I logged out as a culinarian yesterday at 10 or 10:30pm and had 593,000 gil, roughly, in my inventory. I logged back in today at around 1pm MST and switched to Carpenter 16. I played for a bit not taking notice of my gil at the time and after an hour or two online I noticed that my gil was down to 130,000 gil. I had purchased things online at the market board but I can't verify how much was spent as there is no in game purchase history that I can find. I'm 100% certain though that I did not spend 460,000 gil today though! At most I spent 160,000 and I think that is a high number as I bought mostly basic items which was why I wasn't keeping track of my gil. Most the things I acquired shouldn't have put a dent in my inventory.
It should also be noted that I had little to no contact with any retainers while online today. The only NPCs I interacted with are the FC supplier for materials and Leve turn in characters in Hawthorne Hut, Gridania, and quarrymill. I also don't know what the time was in game as the in game time changes rather rapidly. it takes 2-3 seconds for the minute to go up one and in the course of an hour or two online I've gone through a full 24 hours or more in game so accurately pinning the time in game is nearly impossible.

I think this may be related to some strange issues I've had since the most recent update was rolled out. The night before the update I was operating just fine and then the next day I downloaded the update and now my game will semi-frequently freeze for 15-30 seconds during which time I can't do or interact with anything, it appears to be just like lag but more extreme than I've ever experienced it, and then just start back up again.
