Me? I play this game to kill monsters. Kill monsters, get more powerful, to kill stronger monsters. That's.. pretty much it.

    I don't craft.

    I detest PvP.

I detest repeatable content(ie: wow's daily quests) and faction grinds.

I quite literally could subsist on a game that is nothing but level cap dungeon grinds.

    I'm not everyone though.

I do agree that they seem to be spreading themselves too thin with the team they have. It's not very large and they're trying to do a *lot*. I've said it before, they need to pick a demographic and stick with it.
They did. They picked the demographic that likes doing a variety.

This is spot on. For someone who likes to do a roulette for eso, craft while queuing, gather a little, do a few daily clan marks/quests/turn-ins, run a normal mode raid for alt gear, visit the gold saucer, plan a new glamour, do a map, queue for pvp, check challenge log, use up some leve allowances, level up alts and go hunting, it's pretty easy to lose theirself in the game for hours.

One of the reasons why WoW got so popular was because they offered all kinds of content. Nowadays they seem to be focusing on only raid content (which is still exceptionally good albeit released too infrequently) and mindless grinds, which are fun in moderation but not when that's all there is to do. I'm glad FFXIV is still choosing variety over one or two aspects. It means I don't have to spend hundreds of euros on different games to dabble in and instead I can just play this one.
