The MSQ is and has been used to introduce casuals to endgame mechanics somewhat, fates do this too, they alternate between different trash mobs and bosses.

In FFXI bards and thieves pulled mostly. I know some players who couldn't sneak by enemies or not a pull a link and some who could pull or sneak by enemies when it seemed impossible to do. I don't equate twitch with pulling but more about clever timing.(You watch enemy movement patterns then predict the perfect time to pull or sneak by)

In context it adds dynamism to gameplay, but is not always wise to use in every aspect of a game.

I referenced GTA only to compare hardcore and casual/midcore content in another game.
Yeah I loved pulling in XI. I even agreed that it could be added to this game without to much changing to the current formula. I actually agree with this one. However, it still really only affects the tank in this meta because that is part of their jobs. Twitch wise I was more talking about the the actual gameplay in something like dark souls. It would be less accessible for some people.
