Log in screen always indicates Maintenance

Did a fresh install of FFXIV and patched it up. The game is up to date, but encounters a problem. Whenever I run the boot and get to the login screen, no matter what I input, when I try and log in, it brings up a screen saying the servers are down for maintenance. It gives no error number or report or anything, just says that the service is unavailable.

I have two computers in the same room going to the same router. The other computer can play FF XIV without any problems, but this computer can't log in. I suspect the issue is related to not being able to contact the servers somewhere. A reinstall did not resolve the issue. As far as I can tell, no firewalls are blocking the game either. It's been run as an admin with no luck. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

Yup. That's the default screen for entering an incorrect password.

    Clearing my cache solves this.

    Aradon,

This problem is caused by the Security Settings in Internet Explorer being set up in such a way that it’s blocking you from the SQUARE ENIX Account Management system (which is the service used for FINAL FANTASY XIV). Clearing the cache can be one way to resolve this, but you will want to review and adjust the Internet Explorer security settings as well.
