Is there a tank class that can deal good damage and farm?

I need to farm for leveling up my leatherworker. Playing a healer currently but wanting to play a tank maybe, I like tanks with big armor and weapons, I am just wondering which one would be able to deal good dammage and farm me some mobs for leveling leatherworker.

Warrior does some decent damage, they also have an AOE attack before level fifty so it's all right for farming.

Though if your WHM has Holy that's always good for farming. Aero bunch of mobs, gather them up, Holy till they are dead. Repeat forever.

The problem is the mana issues, I wonder if I can dish out great dammage when being a warrior at lvl 50 against lvl 45 mobs. White mage runs out of mana fast with holy.

I could level something like a blackmage or a summoner maybe even an bard, but in the end I think tank levels fastest you can spam dungeons. And maybe then get dps gear for farming

Depends on what you're farming.. if it like, for instance, aldgoats you won't run out. If it's higher level stuff like the dragon skins, etc.. yeah I can see that being a problem. Tank would level fastest through dungeons and instanced stuff (you could always FATE grind but..personally I can't do that. So boring). I tend to farm stuff with my Bard (its my main though soooo)

Either way, if you go with tank or DPS, you can use your chocobo to keep you alive.

Thanks I might go for a warrior then, though could level a pure dps class like bard as well... I am quite confused on what to do, the tank levels fastest probably.

Actually, fastest way to farm monster materials in Heavensward is retainers. And they bring HQ materials more often than you can get yourself too...
