The "So what happened to X?" Thread

There have been a great number of suggestions over the past two years, many of them great, some not so. What I do wonder though, is when a thread attracts enough interest from the dev reps to reply, but then nothing seems to come out of it.

I realise in the game development process many ideas get taken up and later scrapped or postponed but I really would like to know what officially happened to these ideas the dev team initially took interest in.

Therefore, I would like to collate, in a single thread, a list of ideas the devs have said they would look into or were interested in... but never came to fruition.

Please do not post new ideas or ones the devs have not given a response to.

Here are a few I can think of:
** Dye-able wallpaper
** Increasing the caps on furniture allowed, particularly for large houses
** Free roaming primals
** Ability to breed chocobos with another player's (Edit: not breeding a chocobo with another player xD... silly Stuzack lol)
** Ability to alliance with other FCs
** A proper Lore Library (we got a bit in the Gubul Library dungeon, but will the library be expanded as an open area later with more lore tomes?)
** Savage mode of final coil

** The ability to control whether your chocobo will perform aoe actions or not

** Addons/More HUD customisation
** Ability to complete dungeons with NPCs (possibly GC related iirc?)/with chocobo

Hopefully this never happens in the concept they mentioned, Hunt is already bad enough, this would be infinitely worse.

What I'm wondering about is the FC Alliance system.

Well, we did get chocobo breeding, it was one of the integral parts of making a racing chocobo for the Gold Saucer. Which is pretty much the only place where chocobo breeding matters, our company mounts are already kitted out for what they do. Breeding them would have no impact on that as they'd be starting over from level '1' and have to be leveled up just like the parents.

I recall there being talk of more expansive dungeons "where sometimes the player will feel lost."

Yet all I see is linear hallways in everything released so far.

What you see is what players want.
People these days dont actually want dungeons that are huge because it "just wastes time" and is "not efficient".

As much as i would love a huge explorable dungeon... It wont happen.
