I would rather the player competence required for Coil be RETURNED to Savage than give us checks where people need to be using optimal damage rotations/high healing while dealing with Normal Mechanics that are just upgraded. It'd make it more interesting, and not to mention, when the next patch comes out, I hope Yoshi P fixes the issue PLD has with Savage(hence why WAR+DRK DPS is meta).

And I wish. I'm not sure how they're gonna address the PLD issue. Outside of Shield Oath, Pld's potency is not bad (royal authority averages a higher dps output than Drk combo, unless using Dark Arts), but by comparison it's crap. Both Drk and War have a means of boosting their Dps inside of their tank stances. Pld's just get a straight reduction of dmg. Fight of Flight is nice, but it hardly makes up the difference.The buff to shield swipe was nice too, and really helps with aggro (since Pld's enmity gen is on a lower multiplier than both Drk and War and they lack Aoe Dmg) but it still puts them behind in dmg by a substantial amount.

Short of changing the way their Oaths work, or boosting their overall dmg potency, I'm not sure how they'll be able to level the playing field, especially in Floors like A4. Pld's one redeeming feature is that they have a generally stronger defense than the other tanks through proper use of CD's, but A4 has ZERO physical dmg output. Pld's shield is useless, which means shield swipe is also useless (good bye, my precious Tp...), and they take a considerable amount more dmg than normal. No more or less than Drks or War's, mind you, but at least those two tanks get extra dmg out of the deal. Pld's get nothing except an empty Tp bar by the end of the fight.
