It's trying to bribe someone to do something they normally wouldn't.

You can't pull enough together in PF or enough through DF, so you're asking SE to bribe people into running outdated content.

I actually just ran LoTA a couple of hours ago and it popped in about 20 minutes (and the run was smooth as butter, with no wipes or even stupid deaths), so clearly there are people still interested in running it for whatever reason.

You're acting as if people are going to be dragged kicking and screaming into the roulette. People who don't want to run it aren't going to run it; the people who do will now have an extra reason to do so-- in other words, exactly like the existing roulettes. There is literally no downside to this.
