The other day my FC organized a server-wide alliance for the CT gauntlet because one of our friends (who only started playing a couple of months ago) had just unlocked it and wanted to run it. We've got one more fresh 50 in my FC who wants to do it too so we'll probably get another alliance together for her at some point.

I don't know why people think new players don't want to do it-- it's new content for them, so of course they're going to want to give it a try.
