CT is dead, please fix

I did a CT run last night. Total disaster. Half the alliance was drunk, people were Leroy Jenkinsing the bosses before any was in position, healers were tanking, you get the idea. We wiped 6 times before we got to Bodybuilder Simpson at the end..........

....And it was the most fun I've had in an MMO for years

The atmosphere was fantastic. Everyone was joking around. Because everyone was geared above the ilvl limit, we could mess around and have fun.


Sure, add a reward to make it worth playing again (on top of the weekly quest for the tomestone), but don't change it. It's now for people who want to have fun and let off steam. Alexander and Coil are there for the serious players.

Please, do a Crystal Tower roulette. I can't stand farming Nevereap/Fractal (even if Fractal is cool). And if you do it make it drop a good amount of Esoterics (at least 30).

Now there's an idea. There's actually a few old dungeons that I wouldn't mind running again if they jacked em up to "Extreme" or "Savage" difficulty.

please, for the sake of the people that do not want to do this repeatedly, put in new repeatable quests that require this.

a few good ideas is removing the time consumption by lowering the number of fight you have to do and lower the amount of trash mobs.

another idea is scaling difficulty to allow smaller groups, an idea is like 1 tank, 1 healer, and 2 to 4 dps per party for alli
(not everyone wants to repeat dated content, please dont try to bottleneck us into it again like with relics and weekly tasks)

I do think they could rescale CT to become a smaller version of it, but it'd take a lot of time indeed(that they could use to work on other content *cough*EX Dungeons*cough*.

There already is a repeatable weekly that gives you Carboncoat/twine, and a catalyst(that I'm not sure anyone uses anymore). I'd rather that we keep that in place instead of add it to the list of quests in Heavensward(that are pretty much overwhelming once you get to 59).

P.S. Make Coil relevant again as well to those who want to raid and don't have HW. It was a blast to experience, but with everyone moving onto Alex, it's fallen into irrelevancy. A good idea to fix this is a Raid Roulette(any raid that is available and within iLv range will be selected; does not need clear criteria to unlock; just at least two raids) with an ok reward for doing it(i.e. Esoterics).

I'm more interested in seeing Coil get revitalized than CT, to be honest, especially because I don't consider Alexander to be a "Raid."

The odds of anyone clearing even the First Coil of Bahamut with a Pick up Group back in the old days (before echo bonuses and the i90 gear was considered BiS) was nothing short of a miracle. Even after Echo was incorporated and people were settling into ilvl 110-115 gear, T5 was nearly insurmountable to PUGs. By comparison, Alexander is pitiful. Day one clears left right and centre. Half the team could be new and you'll still clear. It's sad.

I'm glad they have a casual raid that everyone can get into, but I miss the Coils and almost no one runs them anymore because Alex is new, happening, and easy. I'm know I'm not alone in this either, because the majority of my Raid LS's all said the same thing. It's nice that Alex is easy, but we all miss the coil. We just don't run it because que's are crap and there's no real reason to... except for glamours. High Allag set is still one of the sexiest sets out there.

Hell yeah. High Allag was nice to wear until it got replaced with better glamour(Thavnairian Dress pls). Either way, I was referring to Alex Savage. The only issue I have with Alex Savage right now is the amount of artificial difficulty they built into it, meaning DPS is always a thing(including Healers now that we're peer pressured into using our MP for things other than DS->*insert heal here*).

...and before you get started with the pitchforks and such on the term I stated, go look at it mechanic-wise. It's one huge DPS/Heal Check with increased damage and 2 new mechanics(Resin Bombs turning into puddles, 4 adds+missiles instead of 2; referring to A1S for those who know it). Nothing like Coil had ever been.
