Can you just... let go of your notion? Please? Yes, the towers were easier than coil. Does that mean that people who raid automatically don't run the 24-man dungeons? Does it mean the people running and enjoying the design of the CT runs are automatically bad?
I know I read that they intended to release CT before coil, but due to issues (probably in figuring out the best way to implement 3-party runs, and tweaking out as many bugs as possible with that), they ran out of time and had to change their plans and switch the two raids around. And if that's so, then I'm sure that at that point they could have decided to push the Labyrinth gear forward, and make it the 'stepping stool' to gear up for the next raid, or just switch the ilvls around (making BCoB i80 and LotA i90), but I'm fairly certain that if they'd done that, some people would have complained loudly that their raid gear, which still wasn't complete, would be 'invalidated' by faceroll gear. Of course, I don't claim to have any idea of why they implemented things the way they did, or any processes they went through when deciding to do so.
Whether those 24-man raids are aimed at the mid-tier of players or not, it doesn't really change that they're there for the entire playerbase to do, just as the raids are there for the entire playerbase to do. Just because some people either weren't skilled enough for coil, didn't have enough online time to join a static despite their skill, couldn't find a static looking for people and/or didn't know how to go about starting a static, or plain weren't interested in that type of dedicated raiding, doesn't mean it's right to equalize players of all of those categories as 'baddies'. And like I said earlier, those people aren't the only ones who enjoyed the CT raids.
To say that CT was just for 'bad people' is about as fair as it is to say that the people saying such things are the people who liked to go in there just to sabotage runs. Which I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want anyone to accuse you of, and then ignore any statement you make to the contrary?

Hi. I cleared the entirety of Coil before HW dropped, have farmed most of the turns many, many times, and was two pieces of gear away from being BiS pre-HW. Feel free to look at my Lodestone for proof if you'd like.
I still enjoy running the CT raids too, as do my other FCmates who have also cleared Coil (a bunch of whom are working on A2S and A3S right now). But I guess we all must secretly suck, because no one who has the skills to do Coil could possibly enjoy something less challenging, right?
Like I mentioned before I enjoyed all 3 ct raids and I would love to go thru them all over again so the only solution is to add a bonus roulette and add new recipes for crafting with mats that drop from them Raids.
I would like to see them rebalance this and coil for lvl 60 and create a raid roulette with all of the old raids. I know a lot of people has ran them enough before the expansion but a lot of new players would like to be able to experience the content.
Can we get back to the merits/detriments of the suggestions in this thread rather than bitching back and forth about what the original design of CT was, who is or is not a shitty player, or who's virtual peen is bigger?
Allowing unsynched groups I still think is the best option here because we don't really need another roulette, roulette bonuses for outdated content feels like bribery, especially considering that if you want to run it, you can queue for it already. People just don't want to do it.
Doing it unsynched gives those that actually want to bother with it the ability to muscle through it with the extra gear and abilities you get from leveling.
I'd also suggest adding the ability to do unsynched through duty finder rather than requiring a premade through PF, because face it, if you've tried to make a PF for it and can't... then there's just not enough folks on one realm wanting to do it.

It's less bribery and more giving people an additional reason to run it. Battle on the Big Bridge is a good example of a fight that people often enjoy running but still tend not to unless there's some reason. A reason is needed because everybody has goals to work towards, and they tend to ignore things that don't help them meet those goals. It's the same as players finding the fastest way to do something and then doing only that even when it's not fun. Strange as it might seem, the lack of players running CT is not evidence that people don't want to run it.Allowing unsynched groups I still think is the best option here because we don't really need another roulette, roulette bonuses for outdated content feels like bribery, especially considering that if you want to run it, you can queue for it already. I enjoy CT. In fact, CT 2 was how I farmed most of my light because hitting Garuda with a stick for days wasn't fun at all.
However, with HW out, CT gives me nothing of value for my time. It'd slow down my ablity to level alternate classes/get esoterics/do crating/whatever else I want to do with 0 pay off. As long as there's no reason to do it, myself and many others who may enjoy it, just aren't going to. Which creates long queue times, which makes it even more of a waste of time to queue for it, making people in my boat even less likely to do it and make queue times even worse. Etc. etc.
Unsynched would do nothing to fix this because it wouldn't make CT suddenly provide benefits or rewards that make it worth the time away from doing other things, and, therefore, would do very little to alleviate it for veterans who want to play it again--and even less for new players who want to experience it the first time in anything resembling how it was intended to be played.
Adding unsynched along with other things is fine, but it's just straight up not a fix for dead content.

I would like the option for undersized parties to do Crystal Tower, but how would that work?
If the content was intended for 24 level 50s, I doubt 8 level 60s will pull the same weight...
And I wish to redo the CT events for glamour. Some of the Demon armor is cool, and some free company members long for the Amon Hat to complete their machinist outfits.
And the Puff of Darkness minion....
It's quite a significant increase in stats. I've completed brayflox hm and Isle of Umbra, on warrior. Mobs hit less hard, requiring less heals... less heals equals more dps. As long as there's enough people to deal with standing on pads and such, it's fine.
