Game Bug Question

I figured out how to post about a game bug I encountered. The bug was acknowledged and is moving on to the next phase.

Long story short - the bug doesn't allow me to proceed training as a pugilist.

My question is - has anyone else come across a bug like this that actually stops progression in the game and if so how long did it take to fix, or was it ever fixed for your character?

I really enjoy the game and look forward to continuing, but I don't want to have to create a new character - I want to max out my current character in all areas.

Left click to target. Right click to auto attack. You want to target the rock, not attack the rock. (I searched for your other posts to see what your issue was).

So while one could argue you were doing it wrong, I'd instead say that the bug is just that it lets you do the wrong thing and/or that when you auto attack the rock it doesn't give you a message explaining what's going on.

To answer the question you're technically asking, though, the closest I can recall was when the main quest got broken for a while (it involved a pipe in Mor Dhona). I don't recall exactly how long it was like that, but I feel like it was fixed in just a few days.

EveK - thanks for the response.

I had posted late last night that I had figured out why I was having the issue (asked them to close my bug in a separate post). I play on Playstation 3 so it doesn't quite work the same as being able to click left or right. I found that you have to initiate the Bootshine attack before your character auto-attacks (which is what happens as soon as you target an enemy on the PS3 - unless I am mistaken on this too). If your character auto-attacks then all the other actions still work, but the bootshine will continually say "invalid target" no matter what.

I wish I had a computer that was up to snuff so I could play that way - it seems like the interface is a lot more fleshed out.

Good to know that stuff gets resolved rather quickly and it is not that often that it happens!

On PS3, X is target, but pressing X when you already are targeting will enable auto attack (indicated by two arrows in a circle on the target indicator).

If you only press X once to target, you will not auto attack unless you either
A. Press X again or
B. Use a weaponskill

I'm still learning this game. This is also my first MMO so it is all new to me.
