Bugged Action Timers

The first time I rode a chocobo, I kept it for the entire 30 minutes. When the time was up, the timer stayed blinking at 00:00 for about a minute before my chocobo actually ran away. I'm not complaining over an extra minute, but it just seems sloppy.

I think this is from a few months back (in another thread), but I thought the 'display' timer was based on your own PC's clock/CPU/GPU/whatever manages the time of your PC. So there will be a discrepancy between the timer shown and the actual length of time you're allowed. It happened to a few guildleves and behests I was on; the times were wrong. So don't worry about the timer itself.

Cool, I thought it was my computer or network that did that... thanks for bringing it up. Hope it gets fixed, died many times trying to cast Cure not knowing it was still charging... =(

this issue has been present since patch 1.18, or maybe 1.17, you dont actually get less or more time on the buff ( if buff timer is affected) it simply show the wrong timer. this is my biggest pet peeve (?) in the game ... drives me nuts!!

happened to me last night when i was tanking. Luckily closing the whole game and restarting it fixed the problem.

I've had this problem for months aswell, restarting is the only fix right now but it is very very annoying. Seems to be more of a problem the long i have the game running.

It happens to me too. In some cases the cooldown timer just doesn't appear at all.

I've noticed this same issue happening when I party up. When I was solo things seemed normal, the casting bar would move from left to right as usual when casting, and my use of spells didn't seem to have timer issues, executed properly much like pre-patch.

However, once I form a party and start fighting, I notice the cast bar doesn't do it's 'casting' animation, and appears (the cast bar) to be all the way to the right. Also, my spell timers are pretty fudged as well. I have the same issue with the cooldowns not appearing sometimes too. No bueno.

I've had this since forever. Makes ARC a pain. I don't know why SE aren't looking into it, multiple people have posted bug reports.

I wasn't aware of this until a few nights ago, so I thought it was related to the latest patch. However, quite a few of the postings above seem to reveal that this is a long-standing bug, and not some recently broken mechanics, result of the last patch.

I and literally every person I know have experienced this issue, it's one of those things that you can live with but it's a pain in the rear to deal with on a consistent basis and just needs to work properly for the game to have any kind of professional polish. Recast timers are definitely details that need to be readily available and easily readable for players.
