Ok so to start off this thread I will like to say something many people choose a class cause they like the idea and the style of what gears and weps they use.

So example I play a tank class pld cause I have no interest in a great sword or great axe. I like the old knight feel to tanking while yes I love how all 3 tanks play different and have an certain individuality to the play styles but my concern is simple balance.

in mmos what many end game people care about is dps but if say all 3 tanks were scaled similar but maintained their individual styles then all will be happy.

Don't forget the games name Final Fantasy so why not allow a short sword to hit like a great axe and let war have equivalent defense to pld. then let dark be same but try balance out their play styles with dps in mind.

So to sum this thread up, Many people chose a class cause it looks cool over actual proven effectiveness end game so make all tank classes hit similar in dps.

all healers heal like whm and dps/dot the same-ish dps

and all dps, can dps similar keeping their unique style.

This balance would make all happy despite the silly minority the reality people but this is a mmo where class balance kind of matters.

Please SE please look into this.
