I'm addicted.
I'm addicted.

I play this game for something to do with friends. Unfortunately, they stopped logging in and in turn so have I. That's the only downside of a small FC. ><
eh, I basically pay 14 a month to talk to friends lol.....Last night, i logged off, and thought about "Why do i keep playing?"
Im a fairly new player, so you could say that this question isnt even justified, now that i havent seen the entire end game.
But will it be like my WoW days? Logging in on raiding nights, raid for 2-3 hours, logoff and play something else?
I guess my question is also : What stuff do you actually do ingame, beside a few raiding nights ?
Id love to hear from anyone.
The game to me is pretty boring and only looks good. This is only my personal opinion though :P
From 3.0 till yesterday. 2 weeks ago. and again yesterday.
When 3.0 came out. Every day it was grind.. then got to 60. Grind gear.
Only hit 60 3 weeks ago.
Now that I'm 60 hit my eco cap by friday. The game it becoming fun again. Leveled my 19 ninja yesterday had fun doing it. did unsynced 50 EX trails 2 weeks ago fun. So ya. I'm having fun.
Dépends what you're looking for in a game. If you're the type to rush to endgame well you get endgame.Last night, i logged off, and thought about "Why do i keep playing?"

I'm currently doing some gardening in my house and crafting. Some alexander floor 1 on the side. Leveling a machinist alt on my dead times.
When life gives you lemons, cry yourself to sleep, and tell all your friends.
Player

Exp roulette, raid and leveling AST. That's all I do for now.

I love being able to do that. Right now I am raiding on WAR just logging in for raid days and to cap tomes/get gear from tomes.
Right now the only thing I am doing is finishing leveling fishing

Because I like the game and I want to keep playing.
Maybe times have changed and gone are the days of people's fascination with persistent worlds and MMOs. Maybe they really haven't and gamers are really just after that instant gratification from gaming and are just made more apparent when it became more "mainstream." Anything you do over and over will get boring. It doesn't matter if it's something you love. Luckily, MMOs have evolved to a past time and is no longer the "2nd life" it was before.
If you're burning out, go take a break. Play something else. If the next patch brings you back, great. If you find something else, awesome. But word of warning, you'll be burnt of that too soon enough and will be looking for the next fix.
Edit because of char limit: Cap tomes, PVP, Raid, alt jobs and alt char. Usually takes up most of my week. When I don't feel like doing those, Diablo 3 and LoL.

That's a nice rant, but on topic I think it's more due to this game's design. It tries to provide easy to get into (but cant have a great reward due to its ease, or copy-paste nature) content. The naturally downside being that those with spare time wont have much interesting to do.
