The crafting grind

Reasons why I stopped even leveling crafters with three to go (two to even start)...... it's overly convoluted, with ridiculous requirements, and there's really not much point to it at all. @_@

I want to get red scrips but for some reason i have still hit cap on them this week still stuck on 450/450.. No idea whats going to happen now because crafting is a large part of my game play,an if i can't even get anymore scrips not much point in me paying.

I'm just nearing lvl 40 across my DoL and DoH. I gotta say after reading this thread, it does little to boost my confidence that putting in so much time apparently is worth the effort. Not to say i haven't had fun lvling to 40 though.

Yeah I think you either find it fun or you don't. For me they jacked up the combat side so bad, that crafting is the only thing I enjoy right now. I really want to challenge myself and make the HQ 2star gear and see what kind of 3 star crafts they come out with later. If it wasn't for crafting, i probably wouldn't play at all.

I have an "almost" fully melded, crafted "white" set - 710 Craftsmanship, 698 Control, 391 CP. I'm doing red crafting scrips for the main hand and will craft off hand tools once I have finished getting red scrip main hands for my gatherers.

I see no point in actually doing anything beyond that. Hopefully, the next major upgrade to crafting gear will go back to a single, common set of gear that can be used across all classes.

How many script is a red script token? 40? 50? I would consider the grind if this amount was lower, but not right now.

I lvd up from lv50 to 60 ONLY with those daily quests NPC guilds give ;D + those Weekly crafter quests + those XP boosts incs every crafter gets x3 for free from job quest!

took me around 10 weeks and just 5-6mio gil (I didnt crafted those needed items, I bought them from NPC shops or Market Board)

Now I just wait till its easyer to get those tomes for master Books(law tomes for blue scrips 1:1? :x ). Because I dont waste precious mats for little results!
