BLM always feels strong because their primary DPS skill (Fire) is one of the first skills they learn. Melee DPS don't have complete combos until far further in. BRD and MCH are weaker because they have a lower DPS ceiling and they don't have their primary DPS tools until later on (at least for MCH; it changes a lot when you get Clean Shot + Wildfire)
