It's also a ton of EXP for some (admittedly dull) busywork. Doing the full suite of quests once you start getting up to rank 4 or 5 will get you 2-3 levels a day all the way up to 40. It's like getting six or seven extra leves a day.

As far as leveling order goes, I'd recommend doing them all simultaneously via GC turnins, while prioritizing:

-CUL to 37 for Steady Hand II.
-CRP to 50 for Byregot's Blessing.
-WVR to 50 for Careful Synthesis II.
-ALC to 50 for Comfort Zone.

Even pre-Byregot's, you can HQ a lot of the turnins yourself, even without HQ components. My typical pre-Byregot's rotation for low-level stuff was something like:

    • Inner Quiet
    • Steady Hand II
    • Hasty Touch x4
    • Master's Mend
    • Steady Hand II
    • Hasty Touch x4
    • Master's Mend
    • Steady Hand I + Basic Synthesis until finish, or Steady Hand II + Rapid Synthesis, depending.

Throughout all of this, use Tricks of the Trade whenever it pops up. This gives you more than enough CP to use MM multiple times. I preferred using Master's Mend over, say, Manipulation, just because getting a Tricks proc during one of the Manipulation charges was a bit of a pain.

No, level the crafts without paying too much attention to the guild quests. The guild quests don't really give a lot in experience and won't make a huge contribution to the leveling process. I've never done them as I leveled. Though you will want to stop at 50 and go back and do them. The 50 tool is worth it and will make 50 to 53 much easier.

Do the 1, 5 and 15 because they give shards but after 15 just level with grind, Leve's, Grand Company turn in's and beast tribe. Stop at 50 and get the quest tool because they are very much worth it at 50 and improve your ability to level above 50 but not much in the Crafting Guild quests make leveling that much easier aside from the shards early and the tool at the end.

Is there a particular DoH rotation that would make this more effective in crafting gear/stuff for other crafts?
Save all of your leve quests for high level (25-35+). Leves tend to give exp comparable to the level you first get them. At higher levels you would need to craft more items per level, making levequests the better option.

    Exception:
If the materials for a levequest or normal crafting in a certain level range are very expensive or hard to get, you can use levequests to breach the gap to the next leve (new leves come at each 5 levels). I won't advise doing this below level 25, however.

Even at 25, you can generally just do two days worth of Ixal quests and GC turnins to get to 30. It'll take approximately 54 leves to get from 30-50 after that point.

Level everything together, and don't buy materials. This will not only keep your efficiency high because you'll be getting xp on everything, but you'll make a lot of gil selling any non-leve quest turn ins you make.

More time consuming but super profitable for you.

Also do GC turn ins everyday, again don't buy them, gather and make them yourself.

It's worth noticing that even before acquisition of Byregot's Blessing, you can still create an IQ stack and do a finishing move.
You can use Waste Not to buy more touches, and use Hasty Touches to save your CP. After IQ is higher, then in your final phase, use Great Strides in conjunction with a Standard Touch or Advanced Touch. It will usually give you a very nice increase of quality in the end.

For 70 durab items, you may use Basic Syn on Normal Conditions, while baiting for more Good conditions before you touch. So, something like:

    Inner Quiet
    Steady Hand
    Waste Not
Hasty Touch (normal condition - just to build up IQ)
Trick of Trade (Good condition - gain 20 CP)
    Basic Synthesis (normal condition)
Hasty Touch (Good condition - 1.5x quality)
    Steady Hand
    Waste Not
    Basic Synthesis (normal condition)
Hasty Touch (Good condition - 1.5x quality)
    Basic Synthesis (normal condition)
    Hasty Touch (normal condition)

    Steady Hand
    Basic Touch
    Standard Touch
    Great Strides
Standard Touch (final blow at high IQ stack)
    Basic Synthesis (completion)

The above is just one way to do things. There are sooo many other ways. If you found 3 synthesis gives you progress that is just a little shy from completion, you can try fit an Ingenuity in the final phase like the following:
    Steady Hand
    Ingenuity
    Great Strides
    Standard Touch
    Basic Synthesis
    Basic Synthesis

Then the final touch may gain more quality, and the two Basic Syn will give more progress than your usual Basic Syn alone. In this case, you may remove up to 2 Basic Syn in your IQ-build-up phase, and put in 2 Hasty Touches instead to further boost IQ.

If your quality is still far from enough after your final phase, you can even try Rumination after your final Standard Touch, see how much CP you can squeeze out to push even more quality. Although, without IQ stack, your touches will be a lot less powerful at that point. But if you have like 10 durab, you may still gamble with a Waste Not, Hasty Touch and then Basic Syn to complete it.

Don't start copying people's macros too early. I suggest you play around with level 15 cross class skills more and develop your own rotations first.

This is all true. Another thing to consider, if you have trouble creating HQ products to turn in at your current level, consider doing Levequests that are LOWER than your current level, and craft the easier-to-HQ items for that lower level. For example, if you struggle to HQ items for level 25 leves, do level 20 leves instead. HQ turn-ins for a level 20 leve will net you more experience than NQ turn-ins for level 25. And you should always strive to HQ - the more practice you get at this, the better!
