Make sure you turn-in HQ items for the daily GC missions They'll reward double the exp for every gatherer/crafter.

I would not level them up all at once though. If you are starting out, you'll be broke really fast. I'd recommend levelling the DoL first, so you can spare the mats / sell some to earn enough.

Check the prices on the marketboard first ?

You'll only go broke leveling DOH jobs if you buy a lot of the mats you need. Nearly everything you need can be gathered, which is obviously slower but doesn't cost gil. So yes, keeping DOL jobs at pace is very helpful here.

I would also recommend making at least one retainer a DOW/DOM class for ventures so you can have a reliable supply of mats like hides and sinew that come from enemy drops. You can use the seals you get from daily GC turn ins to buy ventures and keep them going.

Overall it's not hard to be self-sufficient while leveling everything, but it can take a bit of planning.

Edit: Another useful source of experience is the daily Ixal beast tribe quests. There's less of an incentive to max out the reputation with them than there used to be, but you don't need to produce your own mats for anything other than the quota one and they're a pretty decent source of exp. Plus, you can turn them in as any DOH class, even if it's not the one you used to make the items, so it's a good way to dump some extra exp on a class that's lagging behind a bit.

It's also a ton of EXP for some (admittedly dull) busywork. Doing the full suite of quests once you start getting up to rank 4 or 5 will get you 2-3 levels a day all the way up to 40. It's like getting six or seven extra leves a day.

As far as leveling order goes, I'd recommend doing them all simultaneously via GC turnins, while prioritizing:

-CUL to 37 for Steady Hand II.
-CRP to 50 for Byregot's Blessing.
-WVR to 50 for Careful Synthesis II.
-ALC to 50 for Comfort Zone.

Even pre-Byregot's, you can HQ a lot of the turnins yourself, even without HQ components. My typical pre-Byregot's rotation for low-level stuff was something like:

    • Inner Quiet
    • Steady Hand II
    • Hasty Touch x4
    • Master's Mend
    • Steady Hand II
    • Hasty Touch x4
    • Master's Mend
    • Steady Hand I + Basic Synthesis until finish, or Steady Hand II + Rapid Synthesis, depending.

Throughout all of this, use Tricks of the Trade whenever it pops up. This gives you more than enough CP to use MM multiple times. I preferred using Master's Mend over, say, Manipulation, just because getting a Tricks proc during one of the Manipulation charges was a bit of a pain.
