One thing I wish they would add to those optional items is the possibility to get them for all characters on your account -- the way Fantasia potions used to be before they revamped the system. Sure, they could charge a bit extra for it (say 3x whatever they charge for it, or even 5x), but to me it would provide a level of comfort knowing I could delete a character and 'start over' with the storyline without having to re-buy all the items I already had. Or create a character on a different server without moving my main or one of my primary alts. I'm speaking mainly of the 'past event rewards' category of optional items now, though I wouldn't complain if they did the same with other things as well ^^;
Of course, I have pretty much all the event rewards on most of my characters/alts, but having another of them sent to those characters wouldn't really pose any problem as such (either on my end or on SE's end, or economy-wise), since they're all Unique/Untradable. If I have them on me, I can't get them from the mail, but I can always shove them into armoire/retainerspace for that, and if I don't need them I can always vendor or discard them (whichever's possible; I'm pretty sure most are Unsellable as well).
And yes, I know this is a very selfish request, and that they're not likely to do it because 'more items sold = more money', but on the other hand, I think it's possible more people would actually buy them (despite the higher price) if they could get them for all their characters/alts that way ^^; Especially since I'm not proposing they should remove the option to buy them for a single character.
This line though...
I mean, it just gets my blood boiling. I know Au Ra is the shiny new toy and it has to be impeccable, but come on, can we talk about...An issue wherein the following headgear would not display properly when worn by female Au Ra characters
the Baron Circlet vs Snow's hairstyle:
and Strife's Vest vs Miqo'te (and I imagine Au Ra) tail:
I can't be the first or the only one to notice and be utterly disgusted by these. I know clipping is an engine feature, but come on, it's not like they haven't designed everything themselves. And I know there are a lot of other similar ones, but these two items, specifically, they are special bonuses, and they're particularly awfully ruined "under certain circumstances". Like the game is punishing us for our choices. When actually they both could be easily fixed, or indeed, shouldn't even be like this with a bit more attention paid to detail. For stuff the devs make themselves. For stuff we pay (more) money for.
But oh gods forbid something's wrong with anything Au Ra.
Mayhaps you should have actually read this post...This line though... oh gods forbid something's wrong with anything Au Ra.
This seems a somewhat more serious issue than clipping. And honestly, I'm of the camp that's tired of all the rage over clipping. If it wasn't for said rage we'd have Ysayle's hair already! Imagine the clipping from that!
Those who did the event (yes, me included) could still get it for free on all their characters =) Yes, I know the 'including future characters' would change things, but I did say I knew it was a selfish request, and one I doubted they'd implement. Plus, I'm one of the ones who'd go for that, despite having done the events on the majority of my characters ^^; It's something that'd actually make me want to buy things from the Mogstation.
Ahaha a FC member discovered that bug. We were freaking out lol
Still no mention of PLD fixes. /slow clap
But really, looks like this week is another one and done sort of weeks. Farming through Alex 1-4, capping tomes, and waiting on 3.1 while possibly levelling DRK to appeal to current endgame meta/make use of my tank gear.
