Are using Eso's for STR ACCs worth it?

I get slaying with eso cause basically vit is just hp, once you have the required hp for certain content anything above that is just detrimental, not to mention the fact i run full slaying for 99% of the things I do and only use some vit accessories for raiding/pulling a whole room in a dungeon

Still no word from SE on their intentions for the tank role and fending accessories so for now, either hold your ESO for 3.1 relic or gear up another job with ESO. :/ unfortunate but most efficient use of your times atm

Well right now I'm stuck in the "which tank should I gear up first" conundrum. Like I said I'm i190 PLD and i187 DRK. I use my PLD when I do my Alex NM weeklies and DRK for my Roulette dailies. I balance Esos for both as I like to keep both jobs more or less equal. I've already respecced by stats to pure STR long ago and I tank bosses in DPS stance, however I have little experience tanking in actual STR gear so I initially thought of spending Esos on right sided STR gear because both my PLD and DRK can share it like the usual VIT gear.

I don't do AS not because I don't like it but because of my erratic work schedule, so I can't dedicate to a static. Maybe I'll do it eventually or when they come out on DF, but right now gearing for AS is not really a focus of mine.

If you're having trouble deciding between DRK and PLD, I'd recommend just saving your Eso until you decide. You'll still gain gear from Alex NM weekly, and you can get a feel of which you want to play more there.

What I'm personally doing is 100% gearing my WAR, and then using Void Ark to gear my MNK (once WAR is done, I'll fill in missing pieces with Eso stuff). So in the long run, it's not like your other job will be undergeared, just less geared than your "main".

You can hold hate just fine in full vitality. It's the way the game is designed. You just had two shitty ninjas. It's your choice on str vs vit. If you like vit, go vit all day.

This right here is actually a wonderful idea. 190 ACC will definitely tide you over until a decision about your Eso is made.

For my own suggestion, I would probably say save up your Eso at the moment since it seems you can do Alex content just fine. However, your weapon should be your very next purchase. Since you seem more comfortable with your PLD, taking it into current raid context (Alex normal), you could think about going for your PLD Sword and shield first?

It depends 100% on what encounter/dungeon you're doing, the healer's gear level, how much DPS your team does and how well geared you are on your left side.

There's no right answer. Optimal is to use 5 slaying accessories all the time, but sometimes you need a cushion of vitality (you probably wouldnt feel comfy doing Alex Savage 1 with under 16k health for instance as it would make the tankbuster just a bit too awkward to survive unless your healers were always on point).

By the time you're almost entirely geared in 190-210 gear on the left side though you probably wont need much/any fending parts, maybe 1-2 on later Alexes. You just have to fiddle and see what you and your healers are comfy with.
