I apologize, I may have jumped ship for saying aggro ranking is same as dps ranking. Let me correct myself. Aggro ranking for melees are dps indicators.

That doesn't work well. There are skills which lower/pass enmity (such as Quelling Strikes, used by BLM SMN BRD and MCH). Then there is also NIN's smoke screen and shade walker. Additionally, SMN pet doesn't pass agro from it's DPS to their owner. That's a significant chunk of SMN dps that doesn't create enmity for the SMN.
Elusive jump, quelling etc etcThe trick I use on the ps4 is to look at aggro rankings on party list. If you're hitting enrage, obviously the lowest aggro ranked dps is the issue

You can also tell if your top dps is pulling low numbers by the aggro percentage. If the aggro gauge for the player 2nd on aggro list is less than half, then that means they're also pulling low numbers. And if healers are ahead of dps on aggro, then all dps are shit
For example, in my static, the dragoon and I are always behind MT in aggro, with the gauge at +80%. The dragoon has a parser, I dont; but I can tell whether or not Im top dps by our aggro rankings.
I support the idea of personal parsers, where you can only see your numbers.
I think you might be out to lunch. As a WHM I can easily out threat the DPS and the tank (sometimes) depending on the scenario; thank goodness for Shroud. This definitely doesn't mean the DPS are bad. :/
The aggro meter doesn't really work like that...
Or it means that your MT is spamming nothing but his enmity rotation, which is a different issue entirely. If I wear STR gear and spam nothing but RoH combo, I can keep everyone else below 25% easily. WAR/DRK have even more potent enmity generation. You can also tell if your top dps is pulling low numbers by the aggro percentage. If the aggro gauge for the player 2nd on aggro list is less than half, then that means they're also pulling low numbers.
I actually lose hate to WHMs more often than any other class. And if healers are ahead of dps on aggro, then all dps are shit
All you can tell by the aggro ranking is who's generating the most aggro. For example, in my static, the dragoon and I are always behind MT in aggro, with the gauge at +80%. The dragoon has a parser, I dont; but I can tell whether or not Im top dps by our aggro rankings.
My warrior main tanks faust at 1100dps, but Im still hovering around 80% aggro. I was a paladin main tank for 2.0 end game contents, and spaming nothing but ROH combos did not keep dps under 25%
I got a question for you then.
How does a dps generate aggro?
Whats the common factor between DPS and it's relative aggro rate?

Oh trust me they'll know who to blame, theyll blame the drk pulling in 1000+ dps who didnt die and kept aggro the whole time just because he had slaying accessories, while frothing at the mouth shouting "TANKS DONT DPS" while theyre pulling sub 300 dps
Life's a tease.
I'm really not for a group parser. I'd much rather have a Personnel parser that I can turn on/off that says.
Your DPS: xxxx
Miscellaneous stats: (such as crit %/accuracy/Damage Taken/Healing/%Overheal)
Average DPS of your class in this Trial or Open world: (Probably limited to the past 3 weeks)
Upper Quartile/Highest of DPS of your class in this trial or Open world: (Probably limited to the past 3 weeks)
That is way more work to implement than a simple party parser.I'm really not for a group parser. I'd much rather have a Personnel parser that I can turn on/off that says.

Seriously people, quit being so scared of having your ability (or lack thereof) aired to your group for all to see. Tanks and healers deal with it every day they DF; so should you.
Guess what will happen if this idiotic suggestion were carried out:
1) A certain forum that poisoned the FFXI community will post these parses in a stickered "Do not invite" thread.
2) Job discrimination will become far worse due to intellectually lazy sheep swallowing whatever the elitists put on the forums.
Group parsers is the absolute LAST thing this game and community needs.
