About that TP bar

It's an interesting phenomenon with Bards today. Do we use our songs willingly giving up 20 percent damage on the one hand only to have others say our dps is sub par and that Bards shouldn't be included in certain content because their overall damage is low.

When I use my Bard I'm quick to play for a healer in need of MP and will play for someone in need of TP including myself. On the other hand I have to chuckle when using Foe to help others while sacrificing my own damage especially in todays parser environment.

With the bards i see latelty i almost thought it did, you would think in a 4 man dungeon if the other DPS is a SMN or blm they would foe, i have watched plenty of runs where the bard never even bothers to foes, to the point i thought they got a massive penatly for it.

and let's not get started on the "i refuse to use WM" bards. and yet they rarely ever move when attacking..

I main NIN, and I'll admit that at first I did not really pay attetion to the TP bar, cause it was still new to me. And for some reason, it manages to hide itself so damn well in between all the buff/deuff icons...

I wish I could simply click on a player name, and choose between either MP or TP bar, instead of having both displayed, but still have that as an option aswell.

But getting more used to having it means being more observant to it.

In dungeons I tend to sing Foe only at bosses really. Everything else depends on the fight. Some fights I'll open with it others I'll save it for a DPS check though as I get more comfy with fights I see where I can sign and still get enough regen back for the DPS check and then still get enough MP back for TP or MP if needed.

If you have a BLM/SMN in the party, Foe's Requiem will make trash mobs die faster. Which is a very good thing.

Honestly, when I Astro, 99% of the people I've played with haven't needed a Spire, but the fact that I can SEE that they don't need it is fabulous. No one ever asks when I pull it or have it on hold, so I usually just burn it for the AOE card buff.
