Suggestions on How to Make the Armoire Better

With how much glamour and older gear we get in this game, inventory space can be tight. I think the Armoire could help with our inventory crunch, at least with glamour.

    Simple Suggestions
    - At least allow all items with Blue or Green Backgrounds in the Armoire. Blue items are usually the high class people scramble to get and they usually have unique models, while Green items are special items we get from dungeons, usually with unique models, designs, and/or coloring. Pink Backgrounded items would also be nice but they are less unique and their stats are randomized, which would make storing the data more strenuous.
    - Allow anything that cost some form of token or item trade-in into the Armoire.
    - Allow Crafted glamour items into the Armoire.
    - Allow all Event items in the Armoire.
    - Allow the Race and Gender specific gear in the Armoire.

    More Complex Suggestions
    - Create a new category for items that are obviously glamour items and allow all items in that category into the Armoire.
    - When placing glamour on a piece of equipment, allow us access to the items in the Armoire. There has been a vocal group who have been suggesting that we get a Glamour Catalog and I think this is a good starting point for it. This might not work in dungeons but people probably should be fiddling with glamour in a dungeon anyway.
    - To go with the suggestion above, allow use the ability to put Glamour Prisms and Dyes in the Armoire. This will be less items to store in our inventory and/or retainers.
    - Allow players the ability to send items into their Armoire while on the field. Granted, I don't think this will be possible while in dungeons though.

    Extreme Suggestions
    - Remove the Equipment Condition system. Not only is it an annoyance for putting items in the Armoire, it's just an annoyance when playing, a useless gil sink, and probably a relic from the 1.x era.

A useless gil sink? It's one of the few, from what I can recall, and believe it or not, takes out a large amount of gil from the economy. I'm opposed to this idea.

As for the rest? I'd absolutely love for all that to happen, the problem is as they've said time and time again, "server limitations". They said they're working on the fix, but from what we've been told that's just the ability to grab sets from your retainer while on the go. That's not a viable solution imho, I hope they're working on fixing the underlying issue.

But it hurts those who don't have as much gil more then help the server's economy.
If they want to take a large amount of gil out of the economy it should be something that serves more of a purpose then just being a hindrance.
The game would also not have to keep track of the condition percentagess for each item, which means a little less data that needs to be saved and/or transferred when instanced.

I spend maybe 2-4k a day on repairs, I make more than that off of one venture. Who can't afford that? Roulettes are more than enough on their own actually, although they further the inflation problem. What would you suggest as a gil sink exactly? It has to be something everyone will want to do of course, and also not something like buying MGP because all that would do is promote create frustration among players.

I guess you are right. >w>()
But I still think it's annoying and more useless data that needs to be stored. :B

They can start by making it so that all armoire-able gear/awards will be available to be placed in the armoire as soon as it's released.

No reason why Moon Faire 2015 awards can be stored yet certain vet rewards/ others can't despite being released many months , if not longer

They actually DID do this with Moonfire Faire 2015 for the FIRST TIME EVER. So hopefully this is an indication of things to come.

It defeats the point of the armoire.

Only unique stuff is allowed in it on purpose.

To allow non-unique would mean that you could store multiple and that defeats the purpose of the armoire - it's not a second bank/retainer.

The armoire either has a flag to say that a known list of items is present or it just stores the item ID. This is why there's no condition spirit bond info retained.

They are supposed to be seriously considering a wardrobe feature which would be much better than just allowing us to store expensive, storage wise, items in the armoire.

they could make it so we can only have 1 of any single non-unique item in the Armoire.
ofcourse having a wardrobe would be nice

I really like your ideas and they'd be nice to have. I'm going to need to disagree with the green dungeon drop item idea, though.
If you want a piece of gear from a dungeon, you'd go run that dungeon a few times (or many times...) until you get it. This helps the dungeons stay populated. It's just one of the many tactics that lets old dungeons keep working for newer players without friends to pull them through.
