Original XIV Tracks Must Return!

Hi Devs!

I've been holding back for two years on this one, but one of the best aspects of 1.0 was its beautiful, slow paced music, which synced well with the slow leveling and plot pace.

While I understand the original tracks do not fit where the game is now, I would really love to see you reinstitute "On Windy Meadows", "Born of the Boughs", and "Twilight Under Thanalan."

My suggestion is to replace the Player Housing zones with remixes or the original tracks. Every housing zone should not sound like a day on the beach, and it might even encourage more players to spend time there.

Just my thoughts.

i would really sit more in the housing areas if this were to happen. i go and stand around listening to the calamity music during the anniversaries to remember. turn off everything but the BGM and just listen to the final days music.

Well, given the fact the development team is already planning on adding a furnishing that first appeared in FFXI called an 'orchestrion' which is essentially a jukebox that will allow you to indeed change BGM in your company/personal house to whatever you wish, it's possible they may add the 'missing' 1.0 tracks that haven't returned yet, like Navigator's Glory and Piece of Mind in the way you desire:

A: Yoshida: I think this kind of item would be a nice addition. Just the other day I was looking over documents for an item named “Orchestrion.” It said you’ll be able to obtain songs in some way and play them whenever you want. After this is implemented we're planning to add new songs for it with each patch.

Soken: If there's a spec document for a jukebox, then we can add it.

Yoshida: We're aiming to implement the Orchestrion in Patch 3.0 or 3.1.

So there is hope!
