    Future Boss Fights

    I am going to get crap for this, but must be said.

    We have fights such as Leviathan, Bismarch, Ravana, ... Titan, Neverreap, etc
    All these fights have edges were you can fall.

    Yes I have fallen a few times, but the mechanic of falling off and staying dead the whole fight is not fun. You should be able to rejoin the fight via small mini game like alexander if you get sucked to the other field in burden of the father.

    Also frustrating is how often mobs "jump" like Ravana. Where you randomly loss target because of the phase. This needs to stop as well. Because games glitch all the time such as Bismarck and Garuda. When they "jump" sometimes they don't reappear.

    And this hasn't been fixed yet. It happens alot less cause of how fast Garuda dies, but it does occur. Same with Bismarch.

    Sorry, but that's part of the challenge the fights present. There's an immediate danger that you know of and it's your responsibility to make sure you don't get blindsided by it.

    I understand what you are saying, but what do say for those brief lag spikes. Such as titan, the height of his arena is what causes the lag because the game has to constantly register that the player is still on the platform.

    Yes the new Primals don't have that same issue being much smaller falls height wise. But why should a lagging player be so heavily penalized?

    This mechanic needs to go the most. Something else should be added instead.

    Lol.Idek tbh, of all the complaints.
    I personally am tired of the spread out, dodge circle, stack for soak, grab tether mechanics that are repeated (in various formats) in 100% of every boss fight
    I cant wait for new primals where we /gasp/ dodge that circle aoe!!! So excite!.


    As for your problems, ehh, you cant really design a fight according to a few peoples lag.As thats generally player side not server side. Plus it removes the point of the few fights that have it, if levi couldnt knock you off then you could spam aoe heals all day as thats really the only challenge etc

    Getting knocked off adds a bit more danger to the fight. The mechanics for being knocked off as not that difficult to avoid lag excluded but it just means you need better internet usually or it's a low frame rate that people often mistake for lag in which case a better PC. Without those mechanics that knock you off fights like Titan would be a breeze. If you could res back after being knocked off it also makes it too easy.

    The game as it is isn't that challenging it's made to be a one size fits all game but you need some level of challenge to content or it becomes boring.

    Source? As in, have you had direct access to their source code? How do you know that height is causing lag while registering player location? I work in software and dabble in game programming, and I cannot fathom how this would cause latency. I'm not claiming to be an expert, but to my knowledge, sending a packet to register spacial coordinates shouldn't suddenly bog down because your "Z" value is higher.

    I would say it is more likely that rendering the terrain is causing framerate issues. They might not be culling the floor below the platform at all, or perhaps they actually can't. Either way, I've never once felt lag during Titan, and my overall latency is nothing stellar. My machine is rather beefy however.

    So the real question is: If the recommended hardware isn't handling an encounter very well, why have they not addressed THAT issue? Unforgiving mechanics are how you add difficulty, so I disagree with your conclusion, but I do agree that there is a problem here.

    If you get knocked off in any of those fights, it's your fault. Plain and simple. Getting knocked off in Ravana is next to impossible if you are even remotely awake.

    I agree in the case of Ravana, but Titan is another problem. I know people who literally cannot dodge because of the slowdown they experience. I do not want the mechanic nerfed at all, I just think they might want to optimize the fight a little more. Make it run smoother on weaker hardware. Personally I find the fight to be extremely easy, but if I was unable to react fast enough due to technical limitations, I would be frustrated just like the OP.

    Of course, that should have happened over a year ago now.

    I remember when Titan HM has hard content and so many lag conspiracies were floating around over it.People refusing to accept they had bad ISP or badly specced pc.I love these fights with the falling mechanics.
    I think the best solution would be to make players be able to res for any versions of these fights that were story related if they fall off.But for the harder non story versions if you fall you're dead and tough luck.
