The Rising Event

Welp was right in middle of final turn in when it must've reset. Was working 12-14 hour shifts so hurried home this morning to try and do event only to fail dont see point in stopping a event when server is still live if its gona be going down later that night anyway. At this point mad enough it'll prob be awhile before i play again. I know is not SE's fault just really disappointed.

This started on August 27.

Other than the FATE thing, it was all about a 15 min run around in Ul'dah. I'm glad you don't blame SE.

I also missed out on the event, having left the East Coast to fly out to Seattle for PAX Prime on Wednesday and did not return til the following Wednesday, after which I completely forgot that the event was going on. It's unfortunate that the event had to end in the morning instead of in the evening/prior to midnight, when most maintenances occur. I also don't blame SE for my lack of participation.

I watched the event on YouTube, and I'm sure the minions will be available for purchase at some point if not already (not an option I'm willing to jump at, but an option nonetheless). However, I'm more disappointed that there was an achievement and a mini game that I missed out on. Would there be any way to get these in the future through other means? It would be great to be able to play through older anniversary quests and gain their rewards during a following anniversary, even if it means having to wait a full year at this point.

A friend of mine unlocked both this year's minigame and the one from last year when he did the event, so you will most likely be able to get both of them next year too. The achievement is lost forever though.

Incredibly unfortunate about the achievement, but at least missing this event isn't a total loss if I can still get some sort of remnant from it at some point. Thanks for the info.
