Cast Sequencing Macros: Are the possible?

Seeing as controller players only have access to 16 buttons, I have tried desperately to find a way to make a "Cast Sequence" (or in FF14 terms "Action Sequence") macro. It condenses multiple moves into a single button that would cycle between (EX: Dancing Edge, Aeolian Edge, and Armor Crush) each time you used it.

Example: First press uses DE, second press uses AE, third press uses AC and then resets back to Dancing Edge for the next use. This way I can still do my normal rotation and use 3 button slots instead of 5.

Without "condensing" macros such as these, abilities that don't actively benefit myself (like goad) will never be used. If there is a way to make macros such as the one I described please let me know.

Side note: If you're going to be an elitist and tell me to "Just buy a keyboard and mouse scrub!" then don't bother. SE wants the game to be playable with a controller, I'm merely suggesting a way to make playing with a controller much more enjoyable.

    I don't think so...
you can use the extended controller, which you can access up to sixteen more buttons (I personlly only add eight), not to mention the set switching isn't hard, though people make macros to switch the crossbar sets (I've seen it for healers, I tend to mess them up so I don't use them).

That seems insanely over-complicated for a problem that can be solved with a single macro, if SE would put it in the game. I'll try it out though. Thanks for the tip about the extended crossbar.

its not complicated at all. all you would do that is "new" is hold either L2 first or R2 first, depending on where you set the rest of your skills.

I don't think it's really feasible to play any of the classes proficiently without at least using 2 bars and toggling between the two or using one along with the L2+R2/R2+L2 additional bar.

You could (barely) do it before the expansion, but now you definitely need a second crossbar.

Yeah, I can't play any of my jobs without the extended bar. I was using a second normal crossbar but it turns out the extended bar really adds a lot of fluidity to my play.

Extended crossbar is definitely the way to go if you're on controller. I still have to use a 2nd (3rd if you count the one that you're using for your extended crossbar buttons) crossbar, but there's usually only a couple of skills that are used situationally on that one.

I was on 2 crossbars pre expansion on all the jobs with spots free here and there, now I've added the extended crossbar as well. But yeah 2 crossbars for actions I on bard generally split them as single and aoe+support actions while on healers heal and a dps+other stuff actions. And the extende one tends to have my CDs.

I find controller so much easier than keyboard. I use atleast 3 cross bars on my WHM - 4 if you count the extra cross bar I use for accessing Mounts and random items quickly. It really isn't hard to use the L/R buttons to switch between the cross bars. In fact, I don't evenhave to think about it anymore. The only time I ever have issues is if I have gone and moved around all my abilities - cause then my muscle memory gets screwed up.
