Pug boosted?

I hear rants in most other forum sectors that their jobs are nerfed, can't hit for shit or mp costs are generally too high. Gladiators, archers, mages etc.

Now, I only have pug at a higher level but I feel massively boosted compared to before the patch. Sure, I have less HP, but my defense seem to have improved and my accuracy for sure. Then there's second wind potency, counters on "misses" rather than "Evades" and my general evasion towards enemies just feels better.

I did some toto-rak raping on my ~40 pug and before the patch I almost got killed when I tried to train. Now the mobs can barely work my hp down before second wind is ready.

Am I feeling extreme placebo effects or does someone else see this as well?

I dont know I pkay pug on release and on 1.18 at hgh levels but nit inthis new patch 119. I will follow this threat forward

No, it ain't just you. Pugilists are just badasses now. XD

That "Counters on Miss and not Evade" thing makes all the difference in the world. Especially since now that they've rebalanced stats Evasion actually works and enemies miss a LOT more often.

So. Meaby pug will be able to tank again? Whit evasions and keepig enmity whit dmg and stuns? Any pug tanking NM or bosses post 119?

Presence of mind - The ability which boosts evasion from non-frontal attacks - is incredible. So many misses and you have more opportunities to use counter than you have tp or time for. Can't wait to hit 50 to put PUG to the test for real

Yeah I feel as though PGL is much better after this last patch as well. The new countering and the quicker animations on our attacks really make a difference for me. Was a little bummed when I saw Victimize on a longer cooldown, but the attack power debuff is pretty nice. Also, now that we get some MP regen with featherfoot (and a significant boost to MP and HP as well) longer lasting battles don't force me to be very conservative with Light Strike and Pummel.

As I see I am not the only one.
Pug is hugely boosted now, more HP, more MP, a way to take some MP back, enemies cant hit you for the love of their lives, all abilities potency has been increased, especialy second wind and bloodlust are enough to gain HP back now (I dont even use Cure-Sacrifice anymore), my attack power has beed boosted way up and yet I am still with dated gear....
I can only imagine what will happen with good gear + materia!!!

Not to even mention the fact that Simian Thrash can score multiple critical hits. Definitely loving this update as far as Pugilist goes!

Pugilist is looking more and more enticing.

Perhaps that's also because Leatherworking was my initial focus and other classes are not expected to wear leather at higher levels. But the Pugilist still gets to. and... I don't know where I was going with this.
