Duty Finder is there for a reason.

Actually, I'm at work. Just one of my two jobs, where I do happen to have enough freedom to bring my computer with me and browse the forums from time to time. You didn't address my comment that you can be casual and in a static at all. At no point have I ever said that Duty Finder couldn't be used by anyone. You're arguing me on something that I'm not even arguing. I'm saying making a party is a two way street. The people who want to be hyper exclusive and assholes can use it just the same as people who are "casuals."

Duty roulette is for people who will accept what they get in a random group. Party finder is for people who want to control who's in their group. Party finder is not for people who are scared of getting kicked and wasting their queue time in duty roulette because they weren't up to the random group's standards.

I have no issues with getting what I get in Duty Finder. That's not what my entire post was about. Everything I said should be reflected like that. FOR ME PERSONALLY, I'm ok with what I get in DF. I never said I would fight it. In fact, I explicitly stated that I just do what I can to make it go by faster.

You can get somewhat of an idea from the hate meter but it's not going to paint you the clearest picture. Take a SMN. They are going to be lower on hate than most jobs just based on the nature of how their damage is. Not only is it split between them and their pet, but since most of it is from DoT's their hate is naturally lower. You can have a job higher on the hate meter than a SMN but actually be pulling less DPS.

Gonna bite here: on average it should take around 15 to 20 minutes to clear a dungeon, unless it is one like Aurum Vale in which you add at least an additional 10 minutes on top of that estimate.

Regarding parsers, I actually want SE to add them to the game. As a player who constantly seeks self-improvement, I am very interested in knowing how well I do. I feel that I am a burden when I ask my PC friends what my DPS was after fights. It is a shame that those who play on a non-PC platform do not have access to the tools PC players do, albeit being third-party. Parsers are merely tools, yet the fear against them stems from the irresponsibility of those who would use it to harass others instead of the intended purpose of showing where people stand and see whether or not they can improve.

The problem lies not with parsers, but those who would abuse them. That's all.

So, you're defining "casual" differently than the typically agreed upon definition, which is "plays less than (x amount of) hours per week." Because a lot of people can be casual and still clear content, if we go off of the normal definition.

Seems to me MMO's aren't for you if you don't wanna spend *some* time in them. Maybe a nice game of Solitaire?

    How I see this thread.
    - Want clear content
    - Like to party with people and chat
    - Put blame to entire party with wipe instead 1-2 person who do badly
    - Don´t want point finger
    - My rotation is best rotation EVER anything else suck! Improvement? NO NEED!
    - Don´t want to kick out from party
    - Too lazy to report players who vote kick
    - Online game/Internet is cute and sweet and warmheart place

    Anything else I miss?

    I agree with the OP.
Having a parser would only make clueless players keep extra high requirements in addition to the absurd ilevel requirements there are for some premade parties or even wrongfully kick newly geared players in expert roulette cause they don't like their number.

I don't quite understand the hate towards parsers. No one would care much about parser if the game didn't have DPS check. The game is designed for people to perform perfect rotations not 3 not 4 members in the party but almost every player (Tank and healer DPS is a thing to take into account now) has to do the perfect rotation.

I have hardly heard about anyone using parsers outside pre-mades such as Savage or farming groups. Why should people carry those who are bad and can't perform? For the very least I am not entitled to waste my time on people who aren't trying hard to get good at their classes especially when one person can ruin the efforts of the rest 7 players. 50 less DPS from general is not an issue while 100 less DPS might be due to simple slips but lets face it 200 less DPS is something that should never happen.

To sum it up, as long we have DPS checks we're gonna need all party members to perform perfect rotations and thus parsers are important and will be used.
