I have had my fair share of this issue, got the multiple .dll error pop up, thinking it was Direct X 11, my GTX 970, etc. Actually, my issue was the sound driver. Like most folks, i have an on-board sound card, and additionally my monitor has speakers as well, but i generally use a USB Logitech headset. For some reason, the game will every now and then, lose which one it wants to the sound packets to, which caused my crashes. In order to bypass this, I had to go into my device manager, and manually disable all others but the headphones.
After doing that, I no longer crashed in DX11 mode, like ever. In fact, the only time I've had issues is when the vid card driver is updated, which refreshes Nvidia's attached Hi-Def drivers, turning them back on. It's a pain, to be certain, but one I'm able to live with for now. I would like to see the Devs put in an option to change the selected devices in the game options menu, and to be able to lock it in as a choice. I would be willing to bet that this would solve a LOT of their crashing problems, as being able to select the wanted device shouldn't send packets to the wrong one anymore. Anyone with a switchable graphics card for their laptop should know exactly why this should be an option for everyone.
Hope this helps some folks, at least until these guys can get a permanent fix in.
after patch 4.1, im having those everytime. random crashes the whole day. its annoying
Same here. Was work 100% fine last night, boot it up today and I can't even get past the character selection section.
Constant, ridiculous DX11 11000002 errors. Costing me thousands of gil in materials for crashing during crafting. Set power to 100% on video card, still happening.
Been suffering with this issue ever since I came back to FFXIV. End up eventually using DX9, but DX11 has huge graphical improvements that I'd love to keep. Every week or so I try DX11 again to see if they fixed it but each time I am disappointed. I have a GTX 970 for the record.
I had an issue with GTX970 cards as well, ever since I swapped to GTX1080, I have not had a DX11 drop on me once (knock on wood). It may be that 970's and FF14 don't play along....
