Like I said, it's a small boost. Sometimes that tiny amount can get you over the hump to clear content, the same is true of any useful ability. Then after 2-3 weeks of gear upgrades, instead of being the difference between a loss and a win it's the difference between a hard win and a not quite as hard win.
