    First come first serve

Can someone explain to me the need for this nonsense in pony farming that isn't "I made the party so I get the pony before the group fall apart"? If the group is farming everyone a pony then why does it matter who gets it first? And seriously, how many groups in farms get all 8 people a pony, 2% of em?

I'm not asking for a change or anything I as simply do not bother with these pf, but I'm curious to hear from other people why you start these and/or would be the last ones to join one of these.

When you've cleared a boss 150+ times, losing out on the pony drop every time... you'll understand.

However I've never created one of these groups. I did it the hard way. Avoid them if you don't like them, but I say let people make whatever kind of group they want -- as long as they follow their own rules.

I would not join that group then...that is stupid and I don't care how many they have done if they are not paying me gil then I am rolling just the same as everyone else. Just avoid this and join a normal group that falls apart after the first pony drops and all of the sudden their is "always" an emergency and they have to go. We did undersized shiva with my FC last night with 6 people and rekt'd it but no pony drops...I think they changed the pony drop rates back to what they were before...LOL, just seems like it.

Spoken like someone who has never farmed for a particular item, ever. People use this and lootmaster to ensure both fair distribution (as it's easy to keep track of), and it's just common sense. You get in line first, get a prize first.

Also, it's entirely possible to get 8 ponies for a party if you have a good night. I got 5 in a Garuda party I started in less than an hour not too long ago. Just sounds to me like someone wants to rage because he can never get second in line in a PF.

Good luck being the last person in line, you pretty much won't ever see it, unless you luck out and get that extreamly rare group that is actually considerate to stay till all gets. and usually with the types of parties you mentioned, they never get full anyway, unless people joining aren't after the pony, but a weapon from the ex fight.

Loot master is all fine and dandy as long as people call out items in gear farming parties.
You'll notice that "someone being a jerk" and the point of the practice (what the OP asked about) are entirely different things. Please actually address the thing I'm talking about if you're going to try to refute something I said.

It's useful because farm parties often have a high rate of turnover-- someone gets their loot, stays for a few more runs, and then leaves. Having a drop order helps ensure that you don't have someone in a farm party for three hours who never gets a pony while someone else comes in halfway through and gets it on their first run.

It's like people that "lock" certain items. I never join those groups.
