Yet, 90% of the time when i see a disciple of war class in a town or the open world its a tank or a healer. What's even more funny is that the "adventure in need" bonus is for tank in every single roulette category yet they're the one's I see most in the open world. Most often are they afk too. Just sitting there for hours and hours lengthening everyone's que times by doing nothing.

Theres no tank shortage.

There IS a shortage of tanks willing to put up with PuGs in the DF though.

Try assessing other servers besides your own

Just because there's a lot of them doesn't mean they are queuing for duties.

I bet a lot of those tanks you see are already 60. Why would they queue up for a dungeon?

SE's own survey results say that there are around 20% healers, 20% tanks, and 60% DPS.

Most people also have multiple roles they can fill. I'm both a DPS and healer (DPS iLvl 190, healer iLvl 180) and I switch roles depending on what my FC is doing.

Generally speaking, most people only run their Roulettes once a day, and often not all of them. I know I only run Expert and Trials, I have nothing to spend Law and Poetics on so no real point running those. It's not that different for many of these 'afk tanks and healers'. By the time you see them they've likely already done their Roulettes and are just waiting around for friends or company mates. Further, despite their numbers they are still minorities in the community. Most just want to kill stuff and DDs are the best at just killing stuff. As condescending as this sounds, if you need a role so badly to complain about it then why not try that role out for yourself? See what the other side of that coin is like.

Used to be huge lack but not anymore. I think the ratio of tank/healer/dps is pretty well balanced now especially with the new tank and healing classes. Also keep in mind that a lot of people play multiple classes so they could just switch to a class in need if necessary. At least that's how I feel it's like on my server. There's a lack of raid ready healers on my server though. Been seeing a lot of groups looking for healers lately.

So lvl a tank, if that's too boring then wait on ques lol tbh I despise the DF ever since savage came out cause every time I pug now it's just people treating everything they do as if they were raiding. Demanding tank/healer dps, demanding str accessories on tanks, ignoring easily avoided AoEs/mechanics so "my dps doesn't drop", doing entire dungeons in cleric stance making tanks " not good" because everything anyone does anymore is "dps dps dps dps" when this goes back to normal I'm sure the tanks will come back
