To the people who vote dismissed me for "offline"

Not to belittle the original post but this seems alot like an attempt to fish out the members of that party. I mean, I've not been kicked from a party often but I never once felt the need to post about it on the forums, it's just not that big a deal. If they really weren't that bothered, why the need to post about it here?

Because when I logged in just before getting vote dismissed they all gasped and went "omg no" and "we're so sorry" but before I could say it was fine, I was booted from the dungeon. These forums are pretty much the only place enough XIV players visit where I might have a .000001% chance of reaching one of them.

That, and I'm tired of all the negative rants that appear on these pages and I wanted to post something a little less hateful for once.

My ISP decided to have a brain fart and disconnected my alt character (Anzu Waterkeeper) from Tamtara during the first boss. I managed to get back on twice, getting re-kicked each time.

The third time I logged in, a vote-dismiss had already been commenced for "offline" and I was booted from the dungeon.

If you were in that party, please do not feel bad! I was going to suggest it anyway.

I am not upset at you, just at my ISP.

I wait 5 mins to allow them to get back online. If it's a damage dealer then maybe until the boss. Although if you're constantly dcing it's fair enough.

Happened to me this morning. It wasn't a dc but more a brain DC. I moved the power cord from the socket with the chair when I moved it. I really should stop doing that. Fortunately the group waited for me to get back on.

Living in Florida, I always expect to be kicked out of groups the moment a surprise power outage occurs.

Surprisingly, haven't been kicked out of many groups, since I manage to get back on relatively quick.

I was in a party about an hour or so ago where the tank disconnected, and got vote dismissed. I clicked this thread wondering if that tank made it and raged, lol.

See i had the exact opposite. Had internet problems, got booted off the game. 15-20 minutes i get back on thinking i would be kicked from the party but they are all still patiently waiting O.o

I think you would have more chance to have them read ur thought if u use your official FFXIV blog

Maybe have your PC and router on a low capacity (cheap) UPS so at least you wont DC immediately.
