What's your motivation to play ffxiv?

I played because it was a free trial and i love final fantasy.

I didn't think I'd ever play an MMO again after WoW but i love how easy it is to pop in and out of this game, have a lot of fun then pick it up again a few days later.

It really does feel like a new adventure every time i log in

Some people think I'm kidding; they are crazy. Currently trying to get through PvP to get that Field Commander set (also want to get better since I don't like being a dead weight...but in the end it's for that set. It looks so nice.)

Also I have an addictive personality so I tend to play video games in huge chunks... this one....just hasn't ended yet....

While I agree, the amount of different skins in this game to glamour is lacking bad. I just got my hot monk pants from pvp that required rank 48 and now that I'm done, I realized everything else in the game is too ugly to make use of it. Now I'm waiting for content that introduces new glamours to work towards and who knows when we will get that.
