Yet, 90% of the time when i see a disciple of war class in a town or the open world its a tank or a healer. What's even more funny is that the "adventure in need" bonus is for tank in every single roulette category yet they're the one's I see most in the open world. Most often are they afk too. Just sitting there for hours and hours lengthening everyone's que times by doing nothing.

Its this, plus a Tank/Heal main might also want to level up the buffet of DPS roles for variety (or to learn their abilities hands-on like myself) and therefore are taking time out of tank/heal and taking up a DPS slot.

My only answer to anyoen struggling with queue lengths is use party finder or join an FC, or even (*gasp*) level up a tank/heal job yourself.

The only problem with option 2. I'd ONLY tank/heal for people I knew (I'm probably not the only one) so in the end it wouldn't help solve the problem much either.

I agree, I don't mind tanking for friends or people who ask nicely. However for pugs or duty, I just can't bring myself to do it. I don't like pressure or risk of being yelled at for poor skills, which is odd cus I have zero issue when my FC is going as hard as they can but still. =/

I totally agree. I have War, Paladin and White Mage leveled and I don't DF much. I prefer to party with FC members and friends. It's not worth it. Too many in the DF are ready to have you do it their way or else. Who needs it.

I cannot agree with this post enough. There is no shortage of tanks, just people willing to scrape the bottom of the barrel

I've had enough runs via Duty Finder as a tank to know for fact that very demanding people are out there, and don't care if you're new or not. I find this is made worse by the fact that people behave this way even if the said content that's being done only just came out on that very day. A few too many people I've run with via Duty Finder have the mentality of "Do it my way or GTFO."... made even worse, IMO, if it's the healer who's doing that. I continue to sign up as a Tank anyway into Duty Finder, mainly because we're already at an all time low of people willing to put up with tanking for a PUG. But the demand for Tanks is still going so strong that I've now already got all 3 tank roles up to 60 and only sign up for Expert every now and then as a Tank.

With the attitudes I've seen from my random runs, and the examples given by other posts in this thread, I've got to say, I can't blame our Tank player population for avoiding DF like the plague. Because it really can be, especially for a Tank player.

I like to heal in this game, it's fun. But i don't like to heal pugs. I can hardly do one a day. It will either be the most stressful part of my week, or a breeze. And i don't like them odds.

I can't even run with my FC because only a handful of them have actually reached 60, the rest just procrastinate.
