From the comments you made, it's clear that you don't know the job you play, so I don't see how my pointing that out is a personal attack. However, if you consider my comment a personal attack, which is extremely childish in my opinion, then I also have the right to consider your first comment towards me a personal attack, when you said that I was overreacting to SCHs crying about missing ED because of MP issues. Read the forum and you'll see tons of comments about SCH MP management with Aetherflow, some stating that SCHs have infinite MP – which is one of the reasons SCHs can do so much DPS in a raid situation. Since you didn't bother to do that and you can't admit that you don't know much about healing and MP control, I don't have the obligation to be "delightful", specially with you. Even worse, our only MP management/regain system based on Energy Drain can miss. In a rare unlucky situation we can start struggling if we miss all three energy drains. That just shouldn't happen. Both WHM & AST have a form of mana control that, AFAIK, aren't acc dependant.

Hasn't it been stated in the past that the MP recovery portion of Energy Drain will always occur regardless of whether or not the attack lands?

It took 2 heals to top people off before with 30% overhealing, now it takes 2 heals with 28% overhealing.

It's not just about "bad dps"
It's also about killing things multiple lockouts before the "good dps" can have enough gear carry the "bad healer" who doesn't dps.

I don't know which SCHs you're playing with, but many SCHs consider ED to be a core ability for the better-than-free oGCD DPS it provides. Only in the most dire of situations should you actually need to reserve all 3 Aetherflow stacks for direct healing.

Agreed.

Every fight is scripted. All damage is scripted and predictable. If no one fucks up, you can plan your Aetherflow usage well in advance, which means you'll know when you need a lustrate, a sacred soil, or an indom. Almost always you are able to use at least one aetherflow stack on energy drain per minute. Many times more. Saving your stacks for "just in case emergency situations" is really not optimal- not for your MP or your potential dps output, because if nothing wrong happens (which it shouldn't), then you've wasted a whole lot of stacks/mp/dps for nothing.

Scholars (good ones) use ED far more than you think.

Either one of two things needs to happen really.. Cleric stands needs to add accuracy, or all healer gear needs to come with it added in as a free stats like the end of 2.0. With healer dps being required for most groups to clear savage, it seems unfair to force healers, or anyone for that matter, to waste massive amounts of money melding accessories.

Whereas T13 was cleared on like the second or third day I think.

T10 to T13 was cleared fast because the strategy was leaked the day when they released the content, apparently.
