Please raise the gil transfer limit.

with 3.5 trillion gil in circulation and how much some people have amassed, the current limit just doesn't make any sense. It discourages people from moving cross world to find a raid static. It discourages players from meeting up with friends. And saying its to prevent RMT abuse isn't a good reason. RMT preventative measures should NEVER come at the cost of making the game less enjoyable for legitimate players. WoW had a gil transfer limit of 1/4 of the possible max (in FFXIV numbers 250m). The current transfer cap is 1/250 of that.

If you need more gil sinks in the game, just add them in a meaningful way instead of straight up deleting tens of millions at a time from players that worked hard for it. And investing into items isnt really a solution for people with 100m+. We shouldnt have to do that much work to retain our money.

It also encourages bots to send millions gil to other servers. It also helps the servers economies remain stable.

I am fine with it, my characters are max level and both of them don't even have 500k. Its based off the average player and it does it well.

If you want to transfer 10million gil to a server, that is 20$ for each move. Your guild makes a donation to SE and you get your gil. =)

The gil transfer limit isn't a gil sink. It's a preventative measure to protect smaller servers' economies.

Except on smaller servers I can buy stupid expensive frilly items and resell them for a profit after the transfer.

Certain glamour gear goes for a few hundred thousand here, but a few million elsewhere.

They'll just do what they do in WoW, which also has a gold transfer limit(which only applies to characters, not guilds, so you'll get people making guilds, dumping it in the bank and paying the 55 to transfer the guild itself)... Buy mounts, pets, and materials for resale.

Especially when going from large to small... that item in stupid high supply on one server might be scarce and fetching a fortune elsewhere.

If a server is small chances are there are more people transferring off instead of to it. Small servers usually have an economy with inflated prices as well. Even if the gil limit was raised, it would go further on a large server.

I don't get how it helps to protect a small server's economy when it just means that the people who transfer are just going to check the market for stuff they can buy and resell at a profit. The only difference is the pain in the ass it causes.

Because that's just shuffling already-existing gil around from character to character. It's completely different from taking an enormous amount of brand-new gil from outside the system and dumping it into the economy all at once.

The two scenarios you described are essentially the same thing because each server has an isolated economy. Having gil transferred to the server and having gil suddenly just appear on the server won't have different consequences on the server.
