Spell Casting like FF11

In FF14 why must we select the spell then hit the accept button. In any MMO including FF11 you could just hit the same spell key again and it would cast. Please change it for making mine and everyone else's gameplay more fluid and simple.

I hate this mechanic as well. And this sort of thing is abundant throughout the ui. Too many confirmation messages.

the confirmations for the spells are for some reason.
it's because you need to pick AoE or non-AoE spell to be casted.
which is misunderstanding for me.

why not implement spells like Firaga, Blizzarga into the game like it was in FF11?

If you're using a controller you don't encounter this issue to a degree. Press X on spell, press X on target. If you want to change from AoE to single press X on spell, press Triangle, press X on target. I'm certain the dev's had this in mind when making the system. I greatly advise playing this game with a controller. I did for the first time last week and can't really imagine playing without one now.
