Visual tree and what it gives

Okay, so... I understand they had to move things around because of old pieces of wood going away, etc...

But can you at least make the pine tree, that looks like a pine tree, smells like a pine tree, and well... seems like a pine tree... drop pine kind of items? (like say, spruce, which is a type of pine...)

    And not... oak?

that was just odd. Cause there ARE oak trees up around Dragonhead, so I'm not sure why the sudden change of heart in what kind of trees these really are. It's almost like they had an identity crisis.

Every time I visit the lodestone forums now I wind up thinking of the sound of a toddler throwing a tantrum.

I dont see them changing this, since it made sense before this patch, but they made it easier to get the items you want, unless they change the trees i suppose, but i find this unlikely

I didn't try all the pine up by Dragonhead since I was on my way to bed, but it seems odd that they would do that. Specially since oak is up there, on trees that *look* like oak, heh. Why suddenly put oak on a tree that *looks* like a pine tree. Pretty sure it's just a coding goof up on their end.

whilst i don't think this needs to be addressed immediately, not being able to tell a tree by looking at it as a professional botanist is kind of an immersion breaker as well as unhelpful for efficiency?

if i understand what your getting at.
