The difference between Dancing Edge and Disembowl is:

WAR buffs a NIN's DPS as the only tank with the slashing debuff so using NIN to replace WAR isn't viable.

and

NIN's TP values are balanced assuming you use Dancing Edge.

Outside of that, Disembowel is "automatic" because you *have* to put it up to get to Chaos Thrust, which is one of DRG's strongest Weaponskills. They don't really have the option to drop Disembowel the way NIN can drop Dancing Edge.

Drg's have a pretty rigid rotation that doesn't allow for a lot of flexibility... which is why boss mechanics that make bosses un-target-able and force them to drop BoTD are all that much more frustrating to them.
