Mercy Stroke isn't really that useful. Its sole use is to possibly provide a stopgap if the healer doesn't asuna/leeches you when you're pacified. So...I wouldn't worry too much about it, if hotbar space is at a premium for you. In other words, get rid of the macros for this. Not worth it. Just use most of your abilities by themselves, unmacro'ed.
I also would say the same for Brutal Swing, since there's no need for single target stuns/interrupts inside the 3.0 dungeons/raids. Same use. Don't ever macro it to another ability. Not worth it either.
Really, combat macros should accomplish specific purposes BEYOND what the abilities themselves can.
and have a Macro to utilize Raw Intuition + Awareness.
No problem with this.
Suggestion: If I were you, I would do the following:
1. Set up all of your abilities for Defiance stance on 1 chotbar (recommend using chotbar 3), including your BB, SE, & SP combos and Fracture. I also would put Provoke, Tomahawk, & Berserk on there. Include whatever else you want in the remaining slots. Create a macro on this bar, specifically for switching from Defiance to Deliverance*.
2. Set up a very similar chotbar for your Deliverance stance (recommend using chotbar 4). Again, put your BB, SE, & SP combos, Fracture, & Berserk here. (Maybe put Mercy Stroke and/or Brutal Swing on here, if you have room. I also would put Provoke on here just in case. I would NOT put tomahawk on this bar, because you should NOT need it on this bar.) Create a macro on this bar, specifically for switching from Deliverance to Defiance**.
3. Set up a chotbar for your CDs (recommend using chotbar 2). It's fine to macro together abilities that compliment each other here, because our CDs tend to be oGCD. For instance, Raw Intuition + Awareness (both of these should then activate in order) or Equilibrium + Second Wind (note this type of macro would require 2 button presses).
4. The macros for stance switching (see below) would copy from chotbar 3 or 4 ONTO chotbar 1. This way, you always have the abilities for that stance available, and you only have to switch to chotbar 2 for any CDs you need.
*Defiance to Deliverance macro:
Code:
/micon Deliverance
/ac Deliverance
/copy WAR 4 WAR 1
This macro activates Deliverance & puts the "Deliverance abilities" on chotbar 1.
**Deliverance to Defiance macro:
Code:
/micon Defiance
/ac Defiance
/copy WAR 3 WAR 1
This macro activates Defiance & puts the "Defiance abilities" on chotbar 1.
Other suggestions:
Create a countdown macro for Berserk, so that healers can cleanse it. -- Basically: the ability, a chat line saying used it, and then a short countdown right before it ends. This is very helpful for healers.
Create a macro that uses Provoke AND lets others know that you used it -- Basically: the ability and a chat line saying used it. This lets healers know to heal you, in the case of a tank swap. It also is useful in dungeons in case someone is yelling about a loose mob. The second you hit provoke, they see it in chat & (should) know to let you establish solid aggro on it.
